Hello world!

Just like my first program.

Hey everybody, I've been gaming since the late 1970s, and I found this site via the Facebook.

I'm unlike a lot of the world in that I'm not a fan of D&D5e (more because I'm old than anything else), but I do like the FFG Star Wars variant a great deal.

I've bee here just long enough to know that this is a pretty good community, and I hope it grows.

I work in Hollywood as a writer, which means I'm mostly doing nothing of value with my life.

Hi Keith, welcome to GP. I work in animation and have had similar disillusioned feelings with my field. Since you've been around GP for a bit have you found a game to join yet?

I'm in this one.

It's weird. I have several of the FFG books, but I've never seen this "basic" game, and I'm having a blast so far. Not as configurable as the rules I have, but much simpler to play... so far.

When I get truly comfortable with the gamers plane message board interface, I think I'll try to run a Morrow Project game with people who know nothing of that game...

Always glad to see when people dive straight in, and I'm really pleased you're happy with the community; I'll take some credit for where it's at, but by in large, it's everyone who's participated who made it that way. And not everyone is a 5e fan, though it's the most popular system right now. SWFFG is definitely a strong competitor for it though!

Hey, keithjohnson! I didn't discover RPG's til 1987 but I am fortunate that I still semi-regularly play with the same bunch of guys I started out with. Glad to have another fellow old-timer here. :-) Happy gaming!
