Hello everyone. My name is Josh, and I think I've finally found my fix. For nearly half my life, I've been playing or running RPGs. My first introduction to the wonderful world of RPGs was Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. Soon after, I saw my best friend browsing through the 3e D&D Monster Manual. From that moment on, I was hooked. I bought fully into 3/3.5e. There are still some source books I never got to use (i.e. Lords of Madness). There was a brief stint with the d20 Star Wars RPG (Saga edition?) that I played in once. And I, have run WoW RPG with the World of Warcraft RPG book and monster manual. It uses the 3e/OGL so it's basically D&D 3e reskinned. I'd actually like to play/run that again...

But then people moved away, relationships happened, and I didn't get to play much at all. Not a fan of 4e, I looked around for other games. I own, but have only read through briefly, the 1st and 3rd box sets of the Dragon Age RPG, Shadowrun (20th anniversary book), Mutants & Masterminds, and D&D 5e. Most recently, I've run Numenera (I backed the Kickstarter). That game is actually being continued here once my group signs on.

I have a full time job, am a part time student, and have a family to spend time with. That doesn't leave time for much of anything else. Thankfully, there's Gamers Plane. I've already joined a game (The Strange West), but if all goes well and I know I have the time, I'd love to play D&D 5e, Shadowrun, Numenera, or really anything else. It kinda depends on what rule books I have access to. Here's to a new adventures full of fun and glory.

Thanks for having been one of the early adopter Josh, and I'm really glad to have you here. As we've talked before, not sure there's much more to say for now :)

Thank you guys. I know what you mean, Keleth. After what I wrote above, I'm not sure what else to say.

Hi Josh... I played WoW (online) for many years, and also bought heavily in 3e/3.5. I often wondered how the WoW RPG would fair in play (i.e., did free, instant resurrections for everybody make it into the RPG, haha?). Interested in hearing more about your experiences with it.

Absolutely Qralloq. Since they used the OGL, spellcasting isn't like how it is in the MMO. They had fantastic lore and fluff for the races and classes, but it played just like 3rd edition D&D. There were also racial levels for those interested.

A better late than never welcome then. :D
