Shira most certainly is within 60ft, but you would need to somehow get sight on her. She is on the deck of the enemy ship which is drifting away currently. Where is your captain? I need to discuss the surrender of my ship!" despite being surrounded and staring down the hammer of a person she just tried to murder with fire, she is very collected and business like. She continues in a more jovial mocking tone "Ya know, before my ship sails away with your fellow crew."

OOC:
Stupid me, I forgot that Shira had crossed over to the enemy ship! All this time I've been operating under the impression that she was on the Chianti defending the hook teams. The ONLY reason Roscoe crossed back to the Chianti was to go to Shira's aid. Can we retcon that so I ran to her side instead? If not then it's cool. :-)

haha, not a problem! Roscoe in now stuck on a floating away ship full of angry pirates and your captain is unconsciousJun 16, 2017 2:10 pm

Yeah good judgement isn't Roscoe's strongest suit. Bu while he does care more for his own skin than others', he's not completely lacking in loyalty.OOC:

Pasquale, seeing the standoff on on board his ship maneuvers to better see the situation on the enemy's vessel. Hammer at the ready, he moves to the quarterdeck and casts healing word as soon as he can see Shira.

Roscoe joins the tight circle of crew members. The fighting has stopped temporarily as the enemy crew does the same forming a thick wall of pointy steel, that has completely surrounded you all.
One of the enemy crew, covered in cuts and fresh wounds steps forward. She is a half orc, covered in tattoos of flowers, anchors, ships, scrolls... They all seem connected by a thin strand, the strand seems to tapper off at her left shoulder which is covered in a terrible burn scar that stretches down to her elbow and up to the top of her head. Before she speaks, she spits onto the deck, "If yall killed cap, that makes me in charge nah... Less yah tink yer beddah den me? What're ya boys tink??" she finishes off in a yell as she turns to the crowd and flings her arms in the air. They all call in cheer and hollars, "Contest! Show ya big guns!!! Blow 'em sky high B!! Yes, I love Five Step!" she seems satisfied with this response, a crude circle forms on deck and B walks to the middle and turns her back on you. She glances over her shoulder, her hand on her hip, waiting for a response. All fighting has stopped, but weapons are still drawn, and your crew seems still closely guarded.
Pasqual, satisfied that there is no living fire onboard the ship, jogs to a position where he can better see the enemy ship. The distance is growing, and the waves aren't making anything easier, but he can clearly see a concentrated mass on the deck, the fighting seems to have, stopped? It has been replaced by uproars of cheers, jeers, and 'get outta here!'s You can't seem to pick Shira out of the crowd, you can pinpoint Theren, Manuel, Reggie, and Tall Eric, the tallest dragon born you have ever met.
On the Chianti, the chaos seems to have slowed, since the fire has been put out. They drop the sacks of gunpowder and rush to Zunis' side. They Pat his shoulder and praise his name, along with cries of, "Kill her! Don't let her spark up again! Come on Zunis, just end this! She did call Parlay though..." Amongst these discussions, Wexly, one of the slower members of your crew, sprints towards the fire captain, and launches water from their bucket. With a splash and a "What the hell?" from the soaking elf woman on the floor, Wexly is panting with his hands on his knees, he turns to Zunis and the crowd and smiles with a thumbs up.

"Hold my beer, bro. Eh? I was sure I 'ad a beer jus' now! Never mind." Roscoe steps forward, facing the half-orc. "I bested yer cap'n. Reckon that puts me in charge. But if I gotta fight the B-team I'll oblige ye."
Jun 22, 2017 7:15 pm
There is a small wave of oooo's that flutter across the excited mob as Roscoe throws some banter. B merely chuckles and stands completely straight up, her back still to your crew. Manuel pipes up as you step forward, "Woah, woah what the hell is five step?" he calls out. An enemy pirate swings an arm around Manuel's shoulders and puts their dirty face right next to his, "Well see here, the rules be simple enough! The two will start back to back, they then will take five, not six, nor four, but exactly five steps, counted out by the excited on Lookers. Right after the final step, we yell 'Draw!' those two will then turn and throw all they got to the other. Whoever takes the biggest hit is the loser!!" at the end of this explanation another eruption of cheers roar up around you and your crew. Some people are starting to place bets on who they think will win.
Back on the Chianti, the enemy captain is compliant as Zunis ties her wrists, she responds "We had you outgunned and outnumbered, but y'all definitely had us out skilled. Your captain must either be really stupid or really confident in this crew." You all turn to see the ships still drawing distance between them. There are a couple of people attempting to drop sail and pursue, while others are desperately tossing hooks to try and regrapple the boat. One hook sails high and far, and lands up in the rigging of the enemy ship. Lo' and behold Wexly is on the other end of the rope, and is suddenly dragged across the deck of the Chianti as the momentum of the enemy proves too great. He hits the railing hard but manages to cling to it, he is now a meat karabiner holding the two ships together. Your crew yells out as everyone tries to save poor Wexly. Luckily, a few others have managed to hook the ship too, and they remembered to tie the rope off to the Chianti before throwing.

3. Spoiler alert: Roscoe is totally gonna cheat.

OOC:
It seems like a duel, turn, draw, attack. With the five steps you will be about 10ft away, so you would have to throw or charge for melee. Roscoe will need a Perception check to see what he can on B. But right now Roscoe only sees a cutlass at her side. Jun 23, 2017 2:08 pm
Theren is going to make his way back up into the rigging watching the duel from above.
[ +- ] Spoiler Alert
Totally not going to throw a dagger at the other person in the duel should Roscoe lose.

As Zunis reaches the edge of the deck, he yells out in an amplified voice. I have bezted your captain. Zshe wishes to zurrender.

Theren starts to make his way up the rigging, it's easy to slip away from the captivated crowd. He stands on top of the main boom, he can see the the shouting circle with Roscoe back to back with B in the middle.
Zunis' voice echoes out over the water to the enemy ship. Aboard this ship everyone seems confused, your crew members look at each other, and the enemy crew have quieted down considerably, to quick hushed tones of "I thought the captain was dead?" "He must be lying!", B seems eager to get the show on the road, "You! Start the count! A surrendered captain is as good as dead!" she points to a random member of her crew.

Some of the pirates on the outskirts of the circle seem to slink away from the crowd, distancing themselves from the potential mutiny. Others are being riled up by the one holding all the bets.
Roscoe you notice no guns on B.
The crew starts off the count "ONE!" yells out a chorus of voices.
On the Chianti the fire captain seems furious when the shout of one is heard from across the waters, "That Bitch thinks she can take away my crew??", she is legitimately steaming as the sweat rolling down her forehead sizzles away. Zunis you can feel the heat radiating off of her.
