Thanks for the help Hyp. I think I'll stick with the starting equipment. The stats for my character were rolled.
Jun 20, 2017 4:23 am
So are we all ready? The characters look good Hyp?
Jun 20, 2017 4:28 am
Waiting on Cazzumz, haven't heard anything from him since his rolls.

All the submitted characters look good, though.
Jun 20, 2017 5:32 am
Yeah apologies will complete character when I get into work today.
Jun 20, 2017 6:06 am
Hyp, do you work overnight as well?
Jun 20, 2017 6:55 am
No.
Jun 20, 2017 7:03 am
Then you stay up way too late man.
Jun 20, 2017 7:42 am
Sorry, mother.
Jun 20, 2017 9:13 am
Your good, I just forgot what it felt like to be able to do that.
Jun 21, 2017 11:56 am
Apologies for the delay really busy at work due to the exam season being in full swing. Character is submitted even if it is somewhat bare bones right now.
Jun 21, 2017 12:04 pm
Bare bones'ing is fine. This was made to be an introductory game to get new peoples feet wet, as it were, so I won't hold it against anyone for not having a backstory that leads back to the character's birth.

I have everything in to get started just need my racial/class features (although I'm sure all I have at level 1 is darkvision and arcane recovery) and the spell info blocks filling out at the moment. But other than that I feel I have enough to get started.

Just found out that GreyRook will no longer be joining us. He feels the format doesn't work for him. Sad to see him leave.

That said, would I be able to retcon to get my spell slot back and say his character doed from the water instead of knocked out?

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully, I didn't turn him off of DnD.

Sure, you guys need all the help you can get.

Shame about Rook but I guess PBP isn't for everyone fairly different to other ways of playing d&d so I don't think you've turned him off HypCo games running great imo.

Yes game is fantastic. The format is not for him.

OOC:
The speed of play is one of the only things that could be a detriment for me. But if I do my best to ignore my desire for the game to be much faster, then it's fine. I initially got turned on to DnD by playing the Tiny Tina borderlands dlc, but I had no one to do it with. The subject came up at work with Apex and I started watching Critical Role. This style of play is VASTLY different than theirs. I believe that was his expectation for this site. I've gotten more used to it now, but I admit that my expectations were for a much quicker gameplay style as well.

Okay, glad to hear that, thanks guys.

Sadly, the speed can't really be helped due to differential times zones and people's schedules; PbP will be a huge turn off if you jump in expecting the constant that Critical Role has.

Just look at all the positives it brings instead of the one negative; I think they far outweigh the negativity of slow posting:
We get to play D&D essentially everyday, wherever we want as long as we have access to the internet.
We get to play with people all around the world, maybe it's just me but I find that super cool.
It allows people who normally don't have enough time to still be able to play.
