A Time for Harvest Gameplay - Chapter Three

Chuck pales at the letter. He'd spent the last few weeks avoiding the places Professor Harrold might lurk. Now, to receive a letter from FOC, who has worked with Harrold on the past... He decides to seek out Clive.

Evie nearly trips over her own feet when the letter comes in. She's been in something of a state of shock for the past few weeks, much to the concern of many of her professors. She's never met Mr. Pasqualle, and she has nothing to do with oil or chemistry, which leaves a scant few reasons for him to be summoning her. Friday comes far too soon.

William has been doubling his research in the occult. He has never felt closer to contacting the spirit of his sister, but still nothing seems to be working. He feels he needs to eventually return to the lighthouse. Despite his paranoia of the school and everyone in it, he refuses to run again from another university. Besides, this strange unworldly encounters could reveal more to him about the unknown. He is actually relieved when the letter arrives. He was hoping for some progress and was sick of waiting for monsters to leap out of the shadows. He will keep a look out for his colleagues before the meeting, but if he does not notice them around campus he will head to the dinner early to case it out and try to find the others before walking in.

Alma reads the letter and her heart sinks. she had been throwing herself into her work in order to not process her guilty feelings but now she was being called to sit face to face with mathis and the others. realizing there's no way out of this, Alma mentally prepares herself.

Clive can't help but feel some guilt for the death of Dr. Learmonth...and is very curious about FOC coming and asking him to see them. He wonders what they others know about the strange ore he talked to the professor about before the attack happened.

Ever the suspicious one, Mathis decides to spend this time doing further research on federated oil. They are tied to this in some way. But he decides to pack carefully and to see what happens.

Bill can hardly hide his nervousness and some might suspect he is medicated. His speech has more of a drone to it. "I assumed others were reached with this request. I know very little about what the desires are of these people. At least they have some use for us beyond just silencing our curiosity."

Clive walks in and looks around. What do we know about FOC?

"They are oil barons that likely know more about the strange properties of the rock in those hills than we do. They funded a lot of the expeditions for the school and were in correspondence with some of the faculty and students I believe."

William stops at the doors and looks around outside to see if any others are coming in.

The company records for FOC, the company in the Note. Federated Oil and Chemical are a huge international company formed in 1908. They are involved in the exploitation of mineral resources including oil, coal, natural gas and others. They also manufacture raw chemicals for industrial use. FOC has major facilities in Canada, Great Britain, Italy and three in the United States as well as smaller operations worldwide.

Alma walks up to the table and sits down. she looks at her hands shyly


nice to meet you all again...

Soon enough all of you are sat around the large dining table in the oppulent surroundings of the Park Hotel. Quiet violin music plays in the background and at the head of the table sits a man in his late thirties, taller and thinner than average, sporting sandy-blonde hair flecked with grey and a sharp angular face. He wears and expensive looking suit and introduces himself as Leon Pasqualle.

"Thank you all for coming. Please order what you wish and we'll get down to business."

He orders three bottles of Chateau Lafite and indicates to the waiter to take your orders.

Clive looks at the menu. Raises an eyebrow. I'll have the swordfish, please.

Chuck sits stiffly and echoes "Swordfish," to avoid having to think or make decisions.
