Without looking through the open door, Mathis follow's Neckler's instruction and continues down with Eugene beside him. The screams continue from the fourth floor and more gunshots.
Suddenly your torchlights land on the source of the croaking sounds, two bi-pedal amphibious creatures. Greyish green with white bellies, their heads are like fish with massive bulging eyes and palpitating gills on their necks. Larry immediately curses and turns running back upstairs.

"I have two pistols. The weapons for the trip stored on the ground floor. There are some arms in the guardroom up on the 6th floor, if someone can get up there. With the power out, there's no elevator so access will be by stairs only."

Doc quickly scribbles in his book.
He snaps the book shut and turns to Morrison. "As you can probably guess, stairs aren't my forte, but I can shoot a rifle, and damned if I'm going to sit around here and let us be held hostage like this! Mr. Woolfe, grab me my cane and let's go to the 6th floor!" He gestures to a cane leaning against the wall in a corner of the room.
