The Glaakieou, aka The Hive of the Collective
Members of the Hive are impaled with a spine barb in the backs, placing them under the control of an ancient slug-like monster known as Glaaki. The spine barb gradually changes the servant's physiology and mentality, transforming them over time from slightly augmented humans into a true monsters of great power, both physical and even psychic.
The group most often referred to as The Hive were an early group of collaborators with Glaaki and "The Neighbors." In their normal lives, these Bat Hannoc warriors were a raiding crew led by Gorolach Mac Daolach. Their augmentations from their spine implants continue.
Of late, Glaaki has been grooming them as a sort of local deity pantheon that is slated to be displayed as regional gods who take on the personas and mystique of animals and other personas shrouded in mystery.

Serving as somewhat of a mouthpiece of Glaaki, the Shaman Fingol sought to overtake Rutcranna as the magical and spiritual guide of the Bat Hannoc clan. Fingol was never pierced with one of Glaaki's spine barbs, so he kept his humanity throughout.
Fingol gave himself many titles including Claimant of the Ancient Ways, Inheritor of the Secret Sigils of Nahrooma, Master of All Powers Over the Burial Planes, Speaker To the Dead. In truth, none of those titles ever gained much traction. To many Bat Hannocs, Fingol was still referred to by his old moniker as Fingol Thincrown. It was a reference used to differentiate him from another influential Bat Hannoc of similar age with the same name of Fingol, but who was instead called Fingol Blackcrown because of his thick head of coarse black hair that was opposed to the Shaman Fingol's increasing baldness.
An early collaborator with Glaaki, Fingol the Shaman thought of himself as a sort of prophet or liaison between what was envisioned as a new flock of Dannein clans and a new group of gods with Glaaki at the helm.
