Marcus moves forward five feet his swords in hand already.
Seems like we're surrounded lads. He turns to face the way they came to face those creatures.
OOC:
I'll hold my action until someone is in melee range for this round.

Bacta - Your bolt strikes the zombie in the left eye yellow puss oozes from the wound. The zombie stands there motionless

Bacta & Marcus - The zombies, quicker then the ones you saw in the city, lurch toward you. These zombies appear to all be elves most likely the crew from the ship. Malphas engages several of the creatures from the direction of the ship lopping off an arm of the first to arrive. Then you hear creaking of wood from the airship from below deck spews a hoard of skeletons.

Noticing the addition of the skeletons, I reassess the situation

Guys, I don't think this is a good fight for us. Lets fall back. Come back with the others...we are going to be overwhelmed.

As I am saying this I'm heading south-southwest in between Z8 and Z9 transferring my hunters mark to Z8 and firing another bolt as I go.

Rolls

Z8 - Heavy Crossbow, piercing | Hunters Mark Damage - (1d20+7, 1d10+3, 1d6)

1d20+7 : (12) + 7 = 19

1d10+3 : (10) + 3 = 13

1d6 : (4) = 4

Mar 12, 2018 6:22 pm
So... he says before a short pause we run, right?![b] He shouts. [b]Malphas! We should retreat! He shouts further as he moves towards Z8 with his rapier and longsword drawn, taking a swing with each at it.

Rolls

Rapier, Longsword attack - (1D20+5, 1D20+5, 1d8+5, 1d8+5)

1D20+5 : (20) + 5 = 25

1D20+5 : (7) + 5 = 12

1d8+5 : (6) + 5 = 11

1d8+5 : (6) + 5 = 11

Applying Bacta's attack to Z9 as Marcus moves first. If Z7 is preferred over 9 please let me know.

Marcus - In a single stroke you dismember the zombie right arm and leg. No blood comes from these wounds just a gelatinous yellow ooze as he falls to the ground.

Bacta - The zombie is struck square between the eyes, teeters for a moment, then collapses.

Marcus and Bacta - Malphas in a single spinning flourish decapitates several zombies. Turning to you both he points, go I'll... pausing he looks back toward the ship, but his gaze is up to the sky. Looking back at you with an expression of dread he musters one word, Run!

OOC:
I would pick whichever of the two zombies appears closer to us.

Rolls

Perception - (1D20+4)

(20) + 4 = 24

OOC:
perception

Rolls

Perception Check - (1D20+2)

(5) + 2 = 7

Marcus - The dark conditions prevent you from seeing too far. You do notice that the armed skeletons are moving faster than any normal man could, and are on Malphas in moments.

Bacta - First, you spot some movement, Flapping over the trees, only catching glimpses of it. Then you realize where the bones from that dragon went; They are flying over the trees, a shadowy specter of the dragon still clinging to the remains.
Mar 15, 2018 7:19 pm
OOC:
How many enemies remain? Does it look like the dragon is going to attack?
Mar 15, 2018 8:29 pm
Come, we must help Malphas! He says charging 15 feet towards him, swords at the ready for which ever enemy gets closest first.
Mar 15, 2018 11:01 pm
OOC:
I hear Marcus and turn around as well. With as much movement as possible I move in the direction of Malphas. I move hunters mark to an enemy nearest Malphas and then let loose another bolt at it.

Rolls

Heavy Crossbow, piercing - (1d20+7, 1d10+3)

1d20+7 : (3) + 7 = 10

1d10+3 : (2) + 3 = 5

Hunters mark - (1D6)

(4) = 4

Mar 16, 2018 3:49 am
OOC:
4 zombies and 22 armed skeletons at this point. Yes, the dragon is headed right for you guys and fast.
Bacta - Your bolt misses your intended target, but shatters through a few ribs on a nearby skeleton.

Bacta & Marcus - A darkness radiates out from Malphas, same as the time with the possessed venetore, In a flurry of movements he downs four skeletons, dropping his swords he turns to you both, Damn mensch, I don't have time for this. both hands, enshrouded with black flames, work fast drawing strange symbols. They shimmer in front of you scorching the space around them as if he tore a hole in the air itself. He points back the way you came, Run

Make wisdom saves, Bacta roll 2d20
Mar 16, 2018 4:59 am
Noticing the look on Malphas' face, he'd seen it before. His own expression turned sour as he slid to a stop to change hia direction to the way we came. It's lost! Lets go! Dont die Malphas! He yells as he turns to abandon his charge.

Rolls

Wisdom save - (1D20+2)

(19) + 2 = 21

Mar 16, 2018 10:11 am
What the f.... without being able to complete my sentence I once again go to turn and flee the scene.

Rolls

Wisdom save - (1D20+2)

(10) + 2 = 12

2d20 - (2d20)

(217) = 19

Marcus & Bacta - Your feet fly through the grass and in moments are back at the treeline. A low rumble quickly becomes an intense roaring hum behind you. The entire field and forest are unimaginably bright. Back in the field you see the area is consumed in a sphere of light that nearly blinds you. The light fades leaving Malphas in the center, streams of steam emanating off of his body. You can see the undead dragon clawing its way back onto its feet, you don't see the other undead just piles of ash. Last glimpse, before the trees obscure your vision, is Malphas with swords in hand charging at the now poised dragon. Your feet continue to move of their own accord drawing you farther and farther away at an impressive speed.
OOC:
If you would like to stop you can make Wisdom saves (this will negate your temporary speed as well which is currently 60 ft). If you would like the spell to run its coarse you can do that as well.

Marcus, who the hell is he? What is he doing? That’s suicide. I say as I keep running.
Mar 17, 2018 3:52 am
No idea! He was being held prisoner by the church. He was let free to help me. I don't know what to do against that many forces though. As he continues running. How did you find the situation? He asked as calmly as he could muster.
Mar 17, 2018 12:43 pm
The zombies and skeletons were one thing but dead or undead we are no match for a dragon.
Mar 20, 2018 4:07 am
Marcus & Bacta - Your feet carry you, trees whipping buy at an incredible speed. Eventually, with a wave of exhaustion, the spell gives out and you slow to a stop. Your body aches and feet drag when you move them. Bacta you recognize this area, you are only a few minutes away from where you started. Unfortunately, you both are exhausted and it will take longer to find the camp.

Your movement speed is half till you take an eight hour rest.
Mar 20, 2018 9:48 am
Come on, let’s get back to the others. We need some rest then we can try to start figuring this mess out.
