So while I’m seeing if I can get one more player without putting an open call in the games tavern what do the rest of you want to play? We have a barbarian of peace so far...

I think that my choice will likely depend on what kind of game we'll play. Last time I started as a wild magic sorcerer God of Magic. I could do that again.

I guess that also a good question to figure out, what kind of tone shall we go for? I’m down to do pretty much anything

I'm not thrilled with serious and dramatic games at the moment, but if everyone else wants it I'll go along. What about something more cliche and almost silly? Not sure how exactly to better decide it.

Well the source material does draw from comic books a lot, we could defiantly lean into that idea a bit more. I do kind of like the idea of going for something with a bit of a lighter tone right now...

So I'm writing up my character and I wasn't sure how we wanted to determine Ability Scores? Back in my 3e days we would always roll 4d6, drop lowest, and assign as we see fit. I know there are a lot of different ways to do this so I thought it best to ask first.

I’m fine with 4d6 drop lowest if that’s what you want, I’d roll it up in this thread. My preference is point buy but I really don’t mind.

That's why I wanted to ask, because I am so used to my old days of power-gaming that I look at point buy and cringe. What about 96 points? Can I do that? LOL no I'm kidding.

Yeah the array is slightly worse then a point but one, but not too bad.

That may depend on how many points you allow. I don't know what is "standard".

I thought it was always 27 for 5e and it was only 3.5 that had the varied starts...

Oh, yeah see that's how long it's been since I looked at point buy. Ok I played around with point buy. Those really aren't bad stats.

Now I've used Point Buy for the pre-gens I'm making for a one-shot I hope to run "someday". So far it's great!

So anyway, I'm headed to GenCon. Just thought I'd nudge this game and see if there's still life here. TTYL

Heh, I'm not sure that many of the 10 pages of chatter are relevant given that this is like the second attempt at rebooting this game... That's a half decent spread.
