Act II, Ill Fortunes (the third day)

At the ruins

It's not my area of expertise, but can I figure out anyway to maybe send some paper through the magic circle? I would like to try and send an apology to the mysterious woman.

Would that be an knowledge arcana, spell craft, or use magic device roll?

Oh, I guess I misunderstood. I thought the circles were magically connected.

At The Ruins

Durgrim paces a bit, goes to check on Veroth, then returns to his door, muttering. "What's takin' 'em so long?"

Veroth shrugs from his lurkings by the entrance by the stairs. "It was a long way to travel by foot. A journey fraught with the dangers of this land and the malevolent intent of its unholy ruler."

Veroth wishes mostly that he had a pot to piss in.

"As always madame, it has been a pleasure. But we need to get back to our companions."

"That is valuable information, thank you Madam," Darren says with a bow.

Once they are out of the tent, he turns to his companions, "Let's hurry back."

"So Madame Eva has reason to believe that the tome of Strahd is being held by a coven of witches in this area. Basically the place we decided to go around to get here instead of over, is where they live."

"So do we see what is behind the hot door, or circle back and see what we can do about these witches?"

Aye. Makes sense since we're already 'ere.

"Let's finish our work here and then we can move on to the witches."

"Agreed. Let us finish our chore here and then we can check out these ruins. Let's rest and recover our strength, so that Heather and I might better prepare us for the heat we will face beyond that door."
