Sorry everyone. Rough few days. I'll get something up in the morning. I need to get caught up on the story so far . Right off the bat I won't have much for back story, but I'll flesh it out quick.

Just a brief what's up. I've been working crazily at work getting projects done because my wife is having major surgery wednesday and I'll be out of work for nearly two weeks helping her recover. So for the past two weeks I've been basically doubling my work load. Between crazy work and trying not to stay sick I've just been out of it.

I want to play and will get caught up tomorrow, but I understand if you need to ghost me or kill off my character and move on. I'll post tomorrow and then I'll be in hospital for sure wednesday and thursday until they release her. Friday I'll be able to post between rounds of taking care of her.

My girlfriend and I went through something similar just last month, so I have some idea what you're going through. I wish you and her all the best!

Hope for the best for your wife. If things were to get worse (hopefully they won't) and you cannot post for whatever reason, I'll simply find a reason for your character to leave the group (unless the dice decide otherwise, of course...). I hate killing off characters because of that and had bad experiences doing that in the past... It's easier to reintroduce a character who left later on than a dead one...

ok question again the +x damage on the slayer points, do they raise my RAT with +2, or does it keep the RAT at 17 (atm) and when i hit i just do +x damage

Damage is basically determined by your die roll on a successful check. The +2 bonus on your attacks that you get from using Slayer Points is applied to your CTN. So if you normally have a Ranged Attack CTN of 17, it would become a 19. So the likeliness of successfully hitting your target increases, the potential to do more damage than usual increases because now you can roll an 18 or 19 and hit. And if you roll a Coup that’s 19 Damage before the reroll, whereas it normally would have been 17.

I'm not seeing any entry of +x damage, they are noted as attack +x, basically working the way funfungiguy explained.

Each grid square is 1 meter? With Movement Rate 5 meters and 1 Slayer Point Available to potentially move 6 meters can I maneuver behind Faceplate Orc? If I understand the rules correctly, attacking from behind grants a bonus to MAT.

@ Gaz: X damage ones? Okay, I see Ignore x damage, Defense + x, Opponent's defense - x, and attack + x. So unless you're using a rulebook in a different language than the rest of us, I have no clue what you are talking about...

@ Jabes: Technically yes, but there are no attacks of opportunity in DS, so you could still move there with just your 5 full MR without the need to spend a SP.

How do you run diagonal movement, kalajel? If I were to move, say, 4 spaces in a diagonal line, is it 1 movement for all spaces, or do you do it 1 movement point for the first space, then 2 points for the second space, then 1 movement point for the third space, then 2 movement Points for the fourth space?

In other words, do you alternate between 1 and 2 movement Points for every other diagonal space moved on your turn? Or do you just count all diagonal moves per turn as 1 Movement Point?
