Uburatu

Uburatu strikes at Elam as he approaches the corner and again when he sees his arch-nemesis flip backwards over him.

Elam is too difficult to follow. His movements so quick. Uburatu's wrathful swings miss again and again.

In a blink of an eye, the elusive acrobat has moved clear from danger while Uburatu is now stuck in a precarious position in this disastrous battle.

Further Delayed Effects to Bull Maeriks
R6

Burning at the wound site. Severe nausea. Weakness. Loss of balance. Blurred vision.

The full effects of the venom are setting in on the bull.

Maeriks begin Poisoned Condition
OOC:
I hate this wet blanket thrown over the rodeo performance, CB.
Unfortunately Maeriks bitten here, and the unlucky on Save here, during Round 3.
You called it at the time (with hilarious BBD link btw - ha!), but the onset was delayed. Now here it comes into effect.
Dec 30, 2018 8:25 pm
Trece struggles as best he can, but raw strength is something he's always failed at; he collapses underneath the strength of the devil. His thoughts begin to think of how to regain some advantage before being cut short by the close shave of Uburatu's blade. He stares at the devil holding him, then nods, and says his first words since the fight between the two began "You have earned my respect. This fight will end in honor." What he lacks in raw strength is made up by flexibility; though pinned, he finds his spoon digging into the devils side and enough maneuverability in his wrist to strike at a nerve.

HP: 37/68
A/AC: 20
Ki: no.
OOC:
Sorry, holidays overwhelmed me.

I believe I added and subtracted everything correctly. The total damage was 22 (this is the part I need a confirmation on), subtracted by the 12 from my second wind.

OOC:
Hyp, you're going to hate this, but you have to throw a Disadvantage extra Attack roll for the "A2: Punch".

Reason: Trece is Grappled and Prone.

Trece lost the Slam contest at 21 to 25.
[ +- ] Grappled
[ +- ] Prone
That's a Hit right now by the first roll, but to be fair I need to see if Trece still pulls it off in a tough situation.
Dec 31, 2018 12:22 am
OOC:
Oh, no hate here. I've played a grappler build before; they are dirty with a capital D-I-R-T. I misinterpreted the actions and thought he was pinning me, resulting in us both being restrained, canceling out the advantage/disadvantage.

Here's hoping the dice don't hate me.

I'm tired and cruise controlled the damage roll in, doesn't matter much since it's the same but the dice were gracious.

Trece
R6

Punch Hit. Stab Miss.

Though pinned to the ground in the powerful clutch of the devil, Trece is still able to land a solid strike but unable to do any real damage with his weapon. Trece continues to fight but is surely doing so at reduced effectiveness.

Continue Grappled and Prone Condition

Abros
R6

The last strike stings, but Abros finally has the Mystery Master down on the ground. Vulnerable.

The searing knife is dangerous, but the Seetan will be challenged to use it effectively. Abros should be able to pound him into submission with a Flurry of Blows. Only need a few more seconds - 20 or less.

But … it seems that time is something that is suddenly all too scarce.

After turning around to block Uburatu, Abros sees the torchlight approach at a rapid pace. The Northerners.

A huge armored warrior approaches. The great sword he carries is the size of two normal long-blades. The man is covered in blood and gore of his enemies already slain. Not someone to be trifled with, and now he is only a few steps away.

Abros listens to his opponent's words and has to scowl at the misfortune of it all.
[ +- ] Otessite
With that, the devil releases Trece from the grappling hold and steps away from him while he is still on the floor.

Action: Disengage
Grappled and Prone Conditions end for Trece.

Frustrated but practical, the big devil scoops up his belt and sheathed weapons from the floor. Eyeing both his duel opponent and the newly arriving swordsman, Abros holds his belt and scabbard in his left hand, pressing it to his hip, his right hand gripping firmly on the hilt of his sword. He is ready to draw, but holds for the moment.

Interact with object/environment
Reaction: Ready

DMJ sent a note to DMJ
Looking at the Seetan, he speaks to him again in Otessite, ...previously note="HypCo"] "I assume these are your allies, but I wonder why you were away from their line. If you are a fighting slave, join forces with me. We can break free from this deadly scene. I have no desire to kill these men, nor fight to the death. My brothers are among them." [/note]

Round 6 Update

Map above roughly the same (though Abros moved away a bit).

Awaiting Actions from: Bryn, Iasu
OOC:
Ox, Jabes (if you're out there, bro), send in entries tonight (Sunday) or really early tomorrow (Monday).
Moving to Round 7 tomorrow by mid-morning US EST 31Dec2018 so that we can keep stumbling and rumbling on this.
Dec 31, 2018 8:45 am
OOC:
Throwing in the savage attack since you mentioned it. Wouldn't have used it for the trample since that was well-rolled, so only using it for the gore. The gore was 7 on a d8, so this is mostly a practice in entertainment.

Also, your poison damage roll was very kind.
Damage remains what it was.

Iasu

Iasu searches for an opening, but Uburatu is a complete shell of shield and armor. Firing at such an impenetrable target is a waste of ammo.

Iasu carefully puts the loaded plank bow down on the floor, around the corner into the hall and away from the commotion. He draws out his knife and takes position behind Namtur to prepare for a direct clash.

Bryn

Bryn moves in behind Kray and Thorn, perhaps a bit sluggish from the battle and from the other strains that have his mind spinning.

Balis growls and slashes, trying to avoid getting hit. He swats away a strike to his head, but Akkeen assaults him relentlessly. The young tattooed man heckles in his anger.

"I'll kill you, Balis. All your threats. Your cruelty. Where is it now? The tables have turned, you animal. YOU are the prey now!"

Akkeen is agile enough to back away before the wild beast-man can grab hold of him.

Namtur
R7

without his armor and still suffering from countless wounds and burns, Namtur breathes in heavy and then charges forward towards Uburatu. He yells out a vicious battle cry and holds his newly procured shield forward. He must meet Uburatu strength for strength and take him down.

Shove Attempt v. Uburatu

Uburatu steps forward boldly and crashes into Namtur's charge, taking the force head on. The big battle captain and his great shield are like a great stone that will not move nor break.

Iasu follows Namtur's charge. As Namtur collides, Iasu stabs and pushes and does everything he can to help topple Uburatu.

OOC:
If Jabes comes back somehow, I'll grant him some retcon or additional Action on R7. It just doesn't seem like it is going to happen at this point, so I'm thinking of how to get the NPC-controls finished for the Round and not delay.

I'm good going with the published effects of a torch.
[ +- ] Torch
OOC:
There are shadows and shifting images, but I think from where Thorn is he could see all people, friend and foe alike, well enough to identify them and not make any sort of mistake on identification. Could also see the hallway. Could also see a dead body in the hallway, etc.
Jan 2, 2019 3:26 pm
Seeking to press the advantage, Kray called tersely to Bryn over his shoulder. "We'll box them in! Get a torch at the doorway lit!" Kray pointed toward the north exit with the bow as he dropped it, readying his shield as it slid off his shoulder.

Judgement back in hand, Kray stalked toward the corner, the charcoal colored Otessite blade still warm in his grip, its serrated edges still wet with blood, flesh and bits of sinew.

Shield facing low toward Balis, deceptively at ease, Kray issued two sinister slashes aimed directly at the beast man's upper torso and throat.

https://dl.dropbox.com/s/p1zl5xut830c7xv/saw%20sword%20-%20Copy%20-%20Copy.png

So Elam's strategy to lure them into the corner has paid off. Let's box them in and finish the job. Ox hasn't been around and isn't front line so if figured he could help keep the flame unless he comes on and posts otherwise. He can use the torch on the floor where Kray is, by the bow and arrow.

Two advantage attacks with Judgement at Balis.
