Barking and growling, jumping back and forth, the middle hound finally closes in to strike at Kray.

HY Attack Kray. Advantage Pack Tactics. DC 12 STR or DEX Save if Hit or Restrained

The bull butts the alpha hound and knocks it back, putting some space between it and its pack mates. In the banter between the animals, a hoof clips the shoulder of the hound. Though outsized by several hundred pounds, the fearless dog squares off against the big bull, growling and barking in full ferocity.

A lot of blood. The patient is losing consciousness. Still though, he is breathing. Despite the terrible mess of the many injuries, there is one life-threat: a major bleed under the left arm. Luckily it is on an extremity.

Iasu pulls a tourniquet from one of the quick-access outer pouches of his medicine bag. He quickly loops the long wool cravat under the shoulder and around.
Wrap the excess length.
Slide the latch ring to the proper spacing.
End rod through the pivot ring and twist.
Twist and twist until the bright red bleeding stops.

With one hand, Iasu slides the end rod through the latch ring. Locked tight, the tourniquet is set.
Life-threat eliminated.

With the other hand, he is already flipping the other flap of his bag open. He digs a patch of the mural pepper mash from the small stone canister, getting a smear of the paste on his finger. He dips the chalky paste into the patient’s mouth to activate the stimulate and then smears the whole glob under the patient's nose.

Thorn burst back to full consciousness with a jolt, his body seizing, a huge suck of air as he gasps for breath.

His heart racing.

His head spinning.

But Thorn is revived!

Even as he works with complete focus, Iasu hears every word that Uburatu speaks.

Success on House Rule Trauma Management.
Patient Revived.
Thorn has 1 HP, BUT operates in the Zero Hit Point State.

The 1HP I'll go with to match Healer Feat wording, but ZHPS is the best I can offer to deal with House Rules for recovery from 1 Death Mark.

I move cautiously down a hall. I do not want see seem out of place. A woman stands before me, beautiful, looking out over edge of the balcony.

I ride in the back of the wagon. My mother's slender frame before me, statuesque, swaying gently as the wheels move up and down with the earth.

The woman sees me, then looks back over the city. Her thin arms cross and she shifts her hips. "So are you here to escort me back to my parlor chair, or do you need to dive in front of me right away to thwart the assassin's arrow?"

I hit the goblin with the stick. She turns around and laughs merrily. Her voice is wondrous. I see her face. Thick, black long hair. Bright eyes. Smile as radiant as the sun.

She speaks to me; we speak for an hour, discussing the Jeresians. The Korvorans. The Hilleluat. The Seetans. She asks if I have a wife. Soon it is time to leave.

"Well done!" she says."Have at him!" Her hand to my face, the familiar blue tattoos, swirls of Dannein decor. She holds my hands and talks to me. Her voice is soft and she is everything.

"Aemlar," she calls out. I turn and see her, now from across the room. Her voice is soft and she is stunning in her elegance. "The Hileli do not deserve to be slain. They will parlay if their concerns are heard. There IS a vile darkness in the city. About that... their words are true, my hero."

With her thumb she rubs a mark on my forehead, and on my lips, and on my heart. And then she smiles and says, "I love you, Aemlar. I bless you for all of your days, strong little hero."


"Aemlar," a voice whispers.


Thorn convulses. His eyes flutter open. Iasu's face hovers nearby. The near-dead warrior's voice is a barely audible croak.

"I'll take one of those poultices, if you still have 'em."

Good question. I think any movement, including Dash as Action, is just a Movement cost of +3. Yeah with Dash, you get double the distance, but that's because your hauling ass running. Sort of like just getting extra Movement per time interval because of the speed.

So, Thorn's Roll is 10.

I want you to have time to decide if you want to do other stuff, Jabes - given the discussion on Admin.
If you want to stick with Med Bag treatment on one of the two patient candidates, that's totally fine also. I'd just say again that the effects of any HP gains delivered will not go into effect until after a Short Rest. And I think Iasu would kind of know it. Sort of like he knows there is no quick-fix for these guys given how bad they are. If he can help, he's going to need more time to really get out an extra treatment of complex bandaging, wound treatment, and concoctions for medicinals.

Jabes has an option to adjust, but I don't think there is any danger in letting Trece go and Hound Z too. Doubt either of those have much influence on Iasu even if he ends up acting earlier, which doesn't seem highly likely anyway.

With that in mind...
