No on SA from GPF as threat.

But send in a Deception check. DC 13 (Beats Elam Insight result of 12). Let's see how much that ventriloquism/mimicry sells.
If you get it, can take another Attack roll for Advantage. That would mean also getting SA criteria.
Otherwise that's going to be a Miss.

Sorry, X. I answered that in my mind. Unfortunately the translator (mind-to-board interface) seems to be down.

Movement is 15'.

Dash means another Movement as Action. That gets you to 30'. No need for extra Initiative options as long as you have Movement roll in there, which you did.

Action Surge is another Movement, so another 15'.

Total sprint 45'!

That blasts Thorn up the tunnel and halfway across the Séance Room.

With the way clear, Thorn takes off in a sprint up the ascending tunnel. He barrels into The Séance Chamber even faster than Kray.

Movement. Dash. Action Surge.

When he does he sees that the cut open man that was laying atop the floor grate is now gone. In his place only smeared blood on the floor and a few scraps of entrails and bone.

In the cage to the right, Thorn sees that the bloody corpse of the fat wealthy man is being eaten by a blood-covered wretch, one similar to the one Kray just killed only smaller.

Though smaller, it seems that it is pulsing and growing with every swallow of gory flesh that it devours.

An appalling and shocking scene.

Kray follows a bit behind Thorn, ascending up the stairs. He makes it to the entrance to the Séance Chamber and sees all of the horror of the second wretch eating human remains in the cage.

Maeriks steps to the edge of the chain opening, about to duck under and through. He has the long white cast iron knife in hand.

He pauses, seeing Bryn take off riding the chains, Ryhim dashing to the hearth alcove, Thorn and Kray moving quickly up the tunnel.

Maeriks is confused and hesitates.

He looks back at Bryn, who is almost to Iasu.

Now he looks back up at Kray, moving up the tunnel. He calls up to the leader.

"I thought Bryn said guard the entrance. He's going to get him!"

Jabes, last pop summary Character sheet had Iasu at 23 HP. I hate to say it, but I think it's lower.

Start at 61.
Then I think Iasu had some Temp HPs. This is the entry I couldn't find. I think it may be 9.
So say 70.

Small Irons caused 22 and 25. Total 47. Moves HP down to 23.

CON Saves for CON loss was one Fail and one Save. That means -3 CON.
CON originally 14, giving +2 HP/level. CON is reduced to 11, giving 0 Mod/Level.
That makes another loss of 16 HP.

Current HP is 7.
I think.

Sorry to be such an asshole policing. Unfortunately I'm having to be devastatingly brutal on this and pry on the numbers because several other PC/NPC actions and choices are being built around 1) time and 2) Iasu's health and status.

Show me I'm wrong. I could very well be. I just need to be sure to track what happens.

That's all I can enter tonight.

Summary:

Ryhim can roll Deception for chance of Advantage Attack and resulting SA criteria.

Iasu HP is under review.

Thorn barrels into the Séance Chamber and Kray is there at the entry to it, top of the tunnel.

Nude Maeriks is stalled out at the bottom of the tunnel.
For E/R R2...

Kray and Thorn are more or less out of Combat Round Timekeeping...maybe.

From X ‘s last post, I think I’m assuming Thorn keeps moving across the Seance Chamber, up the natural stairs.

As Kray hears Maeriks' call, a tactical consideration flits through his mind.

Keep the chain barrier open. If Bryn and Ryhim can pull this off, they'll need an exit.

Although he knows Maeriks is in desperate shape, Kray is simultaneously aware that the rescue team's efforts will be all for naught if they're trapped at the edge of Hel with the abominations and monstrosities dominating the chamber.

Kray calls out to Maeriks, terse and to the point."Prop that exit open from the tunnel side! Make sure they can get out!"

Fates willing, they'll get the chance.

Having sighted the wretch feeding on bloody corpse, Kray moves toward the fiend from a blindside angle, fully intent on clearing a path for the rescue team.

Since the bastard is distracted by his meal, Kray is going to stealth toward it, maximizing space and angle to take it out with surprise. Going for advantage on attack.

The mimicry of Namtur's voice is perfect. The heavy and gruff tone of the big myrmidon rolls out into the chamber, carrying over the noise of the chains even while its fakery is disguise effectively by the same. It definitely gets a response out of Elam.

The grey-skinned chain rider harkens to attention, his head snapping over to scan the entryway.

Ryhim, expertly, is already on the move, making it to the alcove near the hearth. Elam takes eyes away from everything else and slides forward as the Main Irons passing him along where he desires.

Ryhim tries to capitalize. It seems as if it is certain that he can. He draws the longbow, lets fly an arrow. It sails on a perfect course...

until The Irons fling forward in unison. A chain knocks the arrow away in mid-flight - The Irons still protect their master, even when he is distracted!

Miss, by active Cover

Startled by the deflected arrow, Elam quickly snaps back to focus. First seeing Ryhim, then seeing Bryn, Elam's face firms up in frustration. Anger.

Hmm. Dash is a Bonus Action, BUT it is just another Movement accomplished during the same timeframe. That is why I have always ruled that it is NOT another Movement. Instead it is just a faster version of your normal movement.

Let's say your roll set stands as it is. Initiative 3.

In the future, I'm going to shift the reduction of 1d2 to 0 a bit. That will need to be 1d2 shifted to 1. The extra Action seems like it should cost *something*. But in the high stakes like now, I don't want to change it - want to make sure you get all advantage due.

The chain column offset from the center of The Pit continues to swirl, wave, and rattle violently in its pattern. Whatever is climbing is shaking the large set of chains relentlessly.

The buzzing emanating from The Pit is getting louder.

Optional Action, Kray: Attack at mini-wretch in cage can be made at Disadvantage. (Note: AC 9 posted in advance.)

As Kray stalks close to the cage, the bloody wretch eater looks at him and squeals angrily. Sludge and gore fall out of the disgusting thing’s fang-filled mouth. Kray watches as it’s body pulses and grows before his very eyes.

Thorn continues his labored flight towards the natural stairwell that leads to the entry platform and the still-smoldering remnant of the Snake Door.

Suddenly, without warning, all of The Irons fall limp and lifeless. A series of clanging. An image of change throughout the chamber as the entire active system seems to be shut off.

The noise rages on though. The large column grouping of chains that extend into The Pit continues to swirl and rattle loudly from the incoming climber. The buzzing - steadily increasing.

Bushyasta begins to laugh.
