Ryhim stands and begins forward again.
OOC:
If there is anywhere to hide, I'll do a BA to attempt that (45 full movement before terrain). Otherwise, full movement + dashes (90 full movement after terrain) + drop prone.

Talking this through...

Dash as Action gives 60 feet Movement total (counting as Main Action and Movement Action). It leaves Bonus Action Available for other things. If Bonus Action is used as Dash, that is 30 more feet of Movement. This is the way to reach 90 feet total Movement in 1 Round for Rogues with Cunning Action.

Dash as Bonus Action gives 60 feet Movement total (counting as Bonus Action and Movement Action). It leaves the Main Action available for other things. The Main Action could be Hide.

So the way I see it, 2 choices:
90 Total feet Movement with no Hide.
60 Total feet Movement with Hide Attempt.

With reduction of Difficult Terrain, those are reduced respectively to:
45 feet Total Movement
30 feet Total Movement

With accounting for standing up from Prone to begin Movement:
30 feet Total Movement
15 feet Total Movement

Hide attempt is possible, so from the entry I'll assume the latter is selected.

Ryhim dashes forward again and then tries to conceal himself in a tall patch of grass and collection of short shrubbery.

Required Action, Ryhim: either send Hide attempt or correct and clarify all Movement and no Hide attempt is selected.

"Big man. We'll make it into the forest, I just need you to stay with me a while longer."

Thorn looks over the place where the arrow is protruding from the Dannein's body. He is no medic, but he has seen them before on the field of battle, even recently, and he has an idea of the steps to follow.

"I wish Iasu were here," he mutters as he puts pressure on the wound.

Thorn carefully moves Maeriks to make sure he can keep breathing. He does the best he can to stop the bleeding. Taking steady control of the arrow, he breaks it off near the base to avoid more movement and secondary damage.

Maeriks' breathing is shallow.
But he is still breathing.

The edimmu flier head flaps high overhead, gloating as it scans the field.

Its distant buzz voice, "....dooooomm ... (inaubible).... vviiiiicctooorrrraa... gaaakkk ...."

It tries its best to steer clear extra distance from Kray when it recognizes that he holds a javelin at the ready.

Simush watches them slowly close the distance. They are making surprisingly good progress. He has been here before. Playing both sides of several Dashnishi-Bishtu conflicts over the years, he has denied entry into Jara Hili against more times than he can count. And those that have entered, he has hunted down like animals. He knows the transition is drawing near.

Simush glances up at his range finder, clucks his tongue as it flies dangerously low, almost within range of a javelin throw. Another arrow streaks out of the treeline and across the flood plain. Then he mounts his horse and prepares to reposition.

Sizhen dives to the side by the narrowest of margins just as another arrow sails at him. For some reason the shooter has targeted him as priority. Taxed and exhausted, and also pulling into closer range, Sizhen wonders how many more shots he can evade before his luck runs out.

When Simush approaches the horse, the beasts neigh and stomps as it pulls again against its lead rope that ties it to the tree branch anchor. Its eyes are wide and its nostrils flare in and out - the animal is stressed.

Simush has noticed already today that the abrasive buzz and flapping of the edimmu tends to spook the animal, but he wonders if something else is amiss.

Optional Action, Simush:
DC 8 Animal Handling to mount and assert control of edgy horse

The edimmu flier drops in a sharp drive to swoop by and bark out threats to Thorn as he tries to tend to Maeriks.

"Dead man! DEAD!" it buzzes as it banks around to climb back to height and reverse for a return sweep across the field.

Hidden beneath shrubs and grass while half submerged in a flood pool, Ryhim peers out and tracks the flying head's trajectory.
OOC:
Will try to frame this up as a possible play of opportunity.

Ryhim could get a long range sling shot at the edimmu on the go in Round 3.

Advantage Hide. Disadvantage Range. Cancels to normal shot.

As another option, he thinks he could time it out and stay in position for Round 3, wait until the edimmu banks around, get a chance percentage of it coming unknowingly into normal sling Range, and possibly take the Attack at Advantage to apply Sneak Attack in Round 4.

OOC:
As annoying as it is, the edimmu isn't my main target. Is Ryhim still 150 away from Simutt? Is he more exposed now that he is trying to mount the horse?
May 13, 2019 4:00 pm
Hyp, that edimmu is spotting for Simush. Take him out. They're soft as hell and one shot will do it. Remember the opening to hel? They drop like flies with one hit.

Simush whispers soothing words to the horse in Hechesi. How can he rule if he can't master a damn horse?!

Retrieve the treasure. That is the task entrusted to him. It is what is right, but it is also what is prudent. A show of competence and power such as this will be a perfect display to show his father that Simush is a perfect Victor, undisputed in all measures. Such a bold move will cast Simush in the perfect light for all to see, as a Champion, as a hero who takes matters in his own hands and forges his own destiny.

Kill these foreigners. Bring his mother back the treasure. And then Simush can have the joy of waiting for the arrival of his father to assume power in Heshba. When he sees Simush, he will be well pleased and shower him with the wealth, privilege, and power that he deserves. He will likely be crowned a Nasi before the winter. In the years to come, a king. In his middle age - sitting on the throne over a vast empire.

But first, the horse.

OOC:
Simush has moved back, deeper into the woods, to get to the horse. Now 180 feet (60 yards), with thick foliage and branches obstructing the last 20 yards. With a sling? - Seems like an unlikely shot to me.

Mechanically, the foliage is going to be Cover. Unspecified amount.

No Advantage from the Hide on shots v. shooter from that vantage point.
