Operating on instinct fueled by years of training and experience, Kray pulled his right shoulder away from the pincer-hybrids gnashing as he brought his torch to bear, catching the spear-fingered hybrids thrust between its fingers. As he turned toward the myrmidon's slashing kukri, knocking the attack away with his sword, savage pincers dug in from the hybrid.

The wound was a scratch, really, but nonetheless infuriated Kray. Still holding the myrmidon's kukri at a breath's edge distance from his neck, Kray pushed back against the silent, seemingly empty foe, his wrathful gaze focused on the pincered hybrid that dared draw his blood.

More badass rolls X. And nice moves by Iasu backing Kray. Here's to Jabes coming back.

Gritting his teeth, Kray pulled the myrmidon's kukri away from his face, gripped by Judgement's serrated teeth. Dropping low, adjusting his stance defensively in a cage of foes, he drove the dark Otessite blade upward toward the pincered hybrid, spiteful aim intent on the fiend's lower throat.

SM11 is primary target followed by SM5. Bonus action second wind.

The bull scratches at the ground and shakes his head. The light is poor, but he can see friends and enemies. Monsters that must be crushed. Without thought or hesitation, the bull is charging forward, head lowered with the deadly horns tracking straight into the beast.

Moving up and shoving the spiderman aside into the gel. (I'm charging at the fool, he's engaged in melee, and it's low light - would all that be sufficient to grant advantage?) If that succeeds, I'd like to continue forward and do the same to the myrmidon. I'm not sure if shove actions eat up all your attacks. (Like break-grapple attempts did before we fixed that.)

Trece's guard falls briefly, these tactics are new to him. His surprise doesn't last long as he sets his mind back into the fight, bracing himself against the devils abrasive body to use the momentum for the gore attempt to keep his footing.

Trece attempts to adjust, find his flourish but is stiffened by the devil's grip. Not ideal; we will see. He thinks to himself, as he looks for a slip.
OOC:
Monks are a fickle bunch, bare with me as I tactics. Writing it out to appear legit.

Action:
A1: Punch (accompany Stunning Strike)

if stun*: A2: Spoon
if not: A2: Escape attempt
if A1 miss: Escape attempt

Bonus: punch

(Let me know if I'm reading this right, if he is stunned he automatically fails str/dex checks. I'm under the impression, if he gets stunned, he automatically drops the grapple.)

HP:61/68
AAC: 20

Also: Hell, yeah Iasu! Fuck Nabua.

Probably can’t get on boards today. Work freakin craze.

Quick comments from entry above though, wanted to give you a heads up about new House Rule in development, soon to be implemented. Wording not finalized yet, but will be something along these lines:

"If you ever end up in a Shove competition roll versus a CHARGING BULL, and the charging bull rolls a Natural 20-- no counter roll needed. You FUCKING LOSE."

Also the floating map right now on my screen is the late R4 version, which is overtaken now by R5 initial update.

This is a cool feature overall though, CB. Thanks.

Lol... Ox quoted my older post. The last post of a minimap will be the one to get displayed. This post will fix that.

@DMJ if you want to update the minimap yourself, peek at the code I use (hit quote) and copy that off somewhere. When you write a new post, copy-paste the whole thing. There is a color tag surrounding a spoiler tag. Just replace the spoiler with the updated map's spoiler.

Trece
R3R4

Trece is caught by the leg, but it doesn't stop him from striking the Devil.

Attack 1. Hit.
Save attempt vs. Stun.
(I think DC 17 CON?)

The strike is sound, but the devil is apparently no stranger to receiving pain. The effects are less than hoped.

Trece strives relentlessly to escape the capture.

Opposition for Escape 1
Success. End Grapple.
OOC:
I think I'm right calling this a win. My understanding is Trece's total result of 24 beating the hold Grapple opposition of 18.
He manages to force his hands inside of the devil's and stress the grip just as he simultaneously thrusts backwards with the caught leg.

Bonus Unarmed Strike Hit

As he backs away, Trece throws and connects a quick punch to the devil's jaw, giving enough spacing to fully plant his feet down to reset his stance.

Rolls

Opponent DC 17 CON Save - (1d20+6)

(15) + 6 = 21

Opponent Opposition STR Athletics against Escape 1 - (1d20+8)

(10) + 8 = 18

Fighting Devil
R3R4

The devil hulk continues to talk even as he wrestles and strives against Trece.

"Who is this Palla Ba? A god? The Master of your Mystery Style?," he asks in his bold but even voice. "What quarrel does he have with me?"

Concentrating on combat despite the conversation, the devil brawler moves in to grab Trece by the arm and strike at him. He throws a wicked sharp elbow at Trece's jaw.

1: Attempt Grapple.
Required Action, Trece: Roll to attempt oppose Grapple. DC 19.
If loss on comparison, Trece begins Grappled condition.

2: Elbow stab
B: Punch
Note: 2 and B are made at Advantage if Grapple is successful. Rolling Advantage here; disregard if Grapple is unsuccessful.

RESULT: horn strike is a 19, expanded Critical for Champion. Rolling additional die damage.

Rolls

Grapple Attempt (Trece roll comparison against this) - (1d20+8)

(11) + 8 = 19

horn strike - (1d20+8)

(19) + 8 = 27

horn strike, possible Advantage - (1d20+8)

(18) + 8 = 26

damage - (1d4+5)

(2) + 5 = 7

(11) + 8 = 19

unarmed strike, possible Advantage - (1d20+8)

(16) + 8 = 24

OOC:
Yo, Hyp. You can move Trece on again, finish out result of Grapple Comparison for R3, and then proceed to send entry for R4. Or ... am I off on this? Are we already in R4 - or did I do Abros in R4 ahead by mistake? Ugh. My mind is smoked from work and other shit right now. Somebody straighten me out if I'm fucked up. Will try to work it out tomorrow or soonest.

Round 5 Update
OOC:
Looking back over my confusion above, I think I was just off by the Round identifier for that interchange Trece v. Abros. I changed it to Round 4. Trece has to do a R4 Grapple opposition roll, but after that, I think R4 is history and everyone is up on line at Round 5.
PC Actions Posted for Round 5 (Results not yet posted): Thorn, Kray, Maeriks
PC Actions Available Round 5: Trece, Bryn, Iasu
Allies Actions Remaining: Elam, Namtur, Akkeen, NPC Ahri
Rabisu Actions Remaining: Uburatu, Balis, Abros
Monsters: SM8, MX, SM6, SM5, SM11, MZ, Gel (some of these are under Attack or possible Condition now, so may not be Actionable at their Turn)
OOC:
Hey, when you look at the above on the count, I think it is an even number of entries for the first time: 10 "good guys" vs. "10 bad guys." And that's before some posted Actions have results in.
Has the tide turned? Ha!

In a feat of strength and athleticism, Thorn breaks the myrmidon's hold and pulls out of dangerous gel. Once his feet are back on the ground, he shifts around behind the soldier and takes a fighting position adjacent to Bryn.

Kray
R5

Kray chops and swings at the brutish monstrosity with the claw-like pincers. The beast is tough and elusive, but Kray pushes in with continuous threat.

Attack 1 Miss, Attack 2 Hit, against SM11.

Just as Kray battles the spider fiend, a great bull crashes into the beast, tearing it away in a sudden hit!

Maeriks
R5

The circles around to the outer edges of the light and then charges back in towards the center. The pale spider fiend accosting Kray is hit broadside as the bull approaches full speed. The hapless creature is knocked headlong to the side and splatters into nearby wall of gel and quickly pulled in.

Critical Success on Shove 1 vs. SM11

The bull quickly stomps right, hooks the adjacent myrmidon, and then pitches it back to the left as he spins. The soldier is caught completely off guard, flung off the ground and into the gel mass as well. The man's heavy army sinks him into the sludge quickly.

Success on Shove 2 vs. MZ
OOC:
Might have to scrutinize this two Shoves in place of two Attacks thing. I generally think it works fine, but want to study it further with a close rule check. It's working this time with no reservations.

Rolls

initial Engulf damage SM11 - (3D6)

(122) = 5

initial Engulf damage MZ - (3d6)

(364) = 13

The important thing is to include the "color" tag wrapper around the spoiler. It should be just like what I have below, except you'll need to remove the space after "[" and before "color=......" to make it work. (space added to break the parsing and allow you to see it like normal)

Elam
R5 (partial)

Elam can see all of the steps now. The table is changing. It was crucial to get Uburatu to commit. Elam had to keep him from realizing the danger until it was too late. He glides forward and slashes at Uburatu with the blade in his right hand.

Attack Short Sword against Uburatu
Hit
Movement
Bypass OA

The strike gets past Uburatu's shield and the big captain has to give ground. He stumbles back a bit, having dodged excessively to keep his throat from being slit.

Elam spends no time pressing the advantage there though. Instead he turns and leaps in the opposite direction, delivering a sudden surprise aerial kick at the beast-man.

Unarmed Attack against Balis
Miss
Bypass OA
Movement

Balis' armor is thick and protects him from any injury, but it is the attack itself that keeps Balis back just enough that he is unable to counterstrike in time before Elam runs past him.

Rolls

Attack short sword v. Uburatu - (1d20+9)

(15) + 9 = 24

short sword damage - (1d6+6)

(6) + 6 = 12

kick v. Balis - (1d20+9)

(5) + 9 = 14

damage - (1d4+5)

(2) + 5 = 7
