"Yeah, righto," Barry says. He follows Marv, gun in hand, eyes nervously scanning the trees.
Jan 21, 2019 9:28 pm
David follows close behind, toting his black doctors bag.

The way is a little more muddy from the previous night's rain, but still passable. Once you get to the dig site, you notice silence and the pits have filled with water again.
Jan 23, 2019 10:52 pm
Wilhelm hoists himself out of the car with his walking cane and follows along behind, silently.
OOC:
Not having experienced what the others did, does anything look out of the ordinary here? Assuming no signs of the professor or others here?

The car parked here when you pul up has been gone through. The tires slashed, claw marks in the car itself, somehing ripped it to pieces. No signs of others at the trail head.

The dig site is in ruins. The tents have collapsed and lay in heaps over the contents. There are ponds of water around the camp and some seem to have a fish or two swimming in them. Wires run out of the ponds and back to one of the tents. No signs of anyone.

David walks up to the car and inspects its tarnished state. Upon seeing the claw marks, he tries to determine what animal could have made them.
OOC:
What roll would that be? (I'm gonna assume Biology but you can tell me otherwise afterwords.)

Biology (70%) - (1d100)

Marv stands apart from the others, one hand clenching and u-nclenching nervously. He watches the ripples in the collected water and shudders as he remembers what happened last time. He looks around the chaos, wondering what happened to the others and how all their investigations seem to come to a dead end. Choosing to pull himself out of his scary memories, he addresses the others, "So, we've got a couple sets of fresh eyes here. Do you guys see anything we missed?"
Jan 25, 2019 11:12 pm
At the car, David has never saw anything like this at all and gets a little excited about the possibility of a new animal.
Jan 25, 2019 11:24 pm
Marv can almost feel the things crawling on his back again, and his arms itch a little at the thought.
Jan 28, 2019 3:11 pm
Noticing the odd and paranoid behavior of his colleagues, as well as the condition of the dig site, Wilhelm asks, "What exactly happened here? What did you see?" he asks, with a stoic, impenetrable expression.
Jan 30, 2019 3:57 am
Wordlessly, Marv points at the pools of water and the occasional ripples that mar their surface. Dropping his hand, he shudders, then looks up at Wilhelm and smiles sheepishly. "There's something living in there. Big leeches, or something like that. They grab onto you and wriggle. It's..." He laughs nervously and scratches the side of his head.
Jan 30, 2019 7:15 pm
Wilhelm cautiously approaches the closest puddle, squats down, and peers into the depths of the pool, looking for for signs of the leeches Marv mentioned.
OOC:
If he sees nothing, he will then probe the water with his cane
Jan 30, 2019 11:41 pm
Wilhelm sees slight swirls and movement, but nothing physical.

If he puts his cane in the water, roll a luck roll.
Jan 31, 2019 5:36 pm
Wilhelm sticks his cane in the pool at the swirling presence.

Rolls

Luck Roll - (1d100)

(3) = 3

Wilhelm put his cane in the water and something grabs it a pulls hard, but luckily he had a death grip on it and pulls it out of the water. There are no marks, just some mucus on the end of it.
Feb 1, 2019 3:37 am
Marv watches as the cane gets yanked and then pulled up with a ball of mucus on the end of it and turns away sharply with a bark of laughter.

"Man, is it even worth it? Let's just go home and forget about this."

OOC:
Check maps for new map, will try and get more done and up
Feb 4, 2019 10:41 pm
"Mein Gott!" Wilhelm exclaims as he leaps backward from the pool, cane firmly in hand. "I believe I'm in accordance with Mr. Coletti here.," he says through intermittent panting.
Feb 4, 2019 11:20 pm
A box lays on the ground outside the tent Marv notices as he scratches his arm, the itching getting a little more intense.
Feb 7, 2019 4:44 am
Marv glances down reflexively at his arm and moves to take a look at the box. He gently prods it with his foot, wary of any creatures hiding underneath it.
