Leylin up first
Feb 11, 2018 3:10 pm
OOC:
Leylin never goes first into the battle, so he should be the last in that marching order.
Leylin drops down on the knee and aims his crossbow towards the goblin in the back (G3).

Hold action: Attack G3 as soon as they notice the party (action)

Rolls

Crossbow attack (advantage if I'm still in stealth) - (1d20+6, 1d20+6, 1d8+4)

1d20+6 : (17) + 6 = 23

1d20+6 : (7) + 6 = 13

1d8+4 : (2) + 4 = 6

Rymente's eyes flash a dark blue as lightning beams shoot out from them, streaking towards the closest goblin.
OOC:
G1 Dex save or 'X' lightning damage.

Rolls

X= - (1d8)

(1) = 1

OOC:
Energy beam- As an action, you target one creature you can see within 90 feet of you. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage (your choice).
The talent's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).

You cannot see so you cannot see the goblins as of yet.

OOC:
Gotcha, I was under the impression they were illuminated. I can hear them though, yeah?
Feb 11, 2018 5:03 pm
OOC:
You can hear them speak and any attacks that don’t require sight specifically to target can be made but with disadvantage until a light source is provided.
Feb 11, 2018 5:25 pm
OOC:
The question was more to see wether or not Rymente would continue to walk. I'll hold my action, same as my previous in character post if you want to use that roll,
if a light becomes present.
Feb 11, 2018 5:56 pm
OOC:
that works. The goblin does not detect you guys so move is to Amaris who is still holding the unlit torch under the bridge.
Feb 11, 2018 11:10 pm
OOC:
Can I set the torch down and use it to light an arrow then shoot the flaming arrow where I hear them?
Feb 12, 2018 12:30 am
OOC:
thats fine, I was under the impression you hadn’t lit the torch yet and we’re just working your way up blind. Then lighting the torch after the action began. Either way it’s fine I just need to which way you are doing it.
Feb 12, 2018 3:48 pm
OOC:
I was going to light it 75 seconds after Rymente walked away.

OOC:
I'm with you there...but I'm going by 6seconds per action...so thats alot of action before 75 seconds..did you stay back by the wolves for 75 seconds and then move forward with a lit torch or follow up and count the 75 seconds from when they moved along without you?

Amaris lights the torch then lays it on the ground lighting one of his arrows. He moves forward behind rymente and fires the arrow into the direction of the noises.
OOC:
Make an arrow attack with disadvantage.
Sauriel please declare your action...this would also trigger Leylin and Rymente's hold action, as the burning arrow will alert all in the room as soon as it is fired and provide dim light for Rymente and Amaris continue to operate with disadvantage for anything requiring sight.
Feb 13, 2018 6:07 pm
I loose the arrow at the noise.

Rolls

Attack Long bOw - (1d20+4)

(10) + 4 = 14

Disadvantage - (1d20+4)

(9) + 4 = 13

damage - (1d8+2)

(6) + 2 = 8

Sariel watches as the situation unfolding. With everyone crouching in the corridor readying a barrage, that leaves her with the job of holding the front line. Not her specialty, but it is what it is. She lunges with her black blade at the closest goblin (g1) and prepares to hold the line, hoping the ranged attackers take down the others before they even get a chance to attack her.
OOC:
Moves 1 square below Leylin beside that bolder and attacks g1. Holds there. Please kill the rest quick, I'm no tank :)

Rolls

Rapier attack on G1 - (1d20+5, 1d8+3)

1d20+5 : (19) + 5 = 24

1d8+3 : (3) + 3 = 6

Amaris's arrow lands safely between the two far goblins - G2/G3. They all freeze for a moment unsure of what to think as Sauriel comes charging forward striking G1 in the back cutting a deep wound down the center of its skin exposing bone as it passes through. At the same time an energy beam comes from Rymente's eyes aiming right at G1 who attempts to dodge the attack. Leylin bears down on the farthest Goblin who looks ready to run as soon as he saw the flaming arrow hit the ground. The arrow passes through the goblins upper torso ripping away meat and skin leaving him screeching in pain. Sauriel then notices a 4th Goblin appear from the passageway just to his Southwest (1sq down, 1sq left)

Top of the order Leylin is back up!

Did you want me to reroll the damage or keep what I rolled previously? Either way, Energy Beam doesn't require a roll from me,
the goblin makes a Dex save or it takes the damage.

OOC:
was gonna reuse the original roll...just forgot to add the dex save apparently

Rolls

G1 dex save - (1d20+2)

(8) + 2 = 10

Feb 13, 2018 9:01 pm
OOC:
G1 fails his save
The Goblin, already reeling from the vicious blade strike is unable to avoid the mystical beam of energy as it bears down on him. He is knocked from his feet and lies motionless on the ground.
