With Leylin's shield around each of the hostages, we can stand to lose initiative. Hopefully our luck will turn for the actual attacks.

I’m a dummy...can’t even remember my own rules. I’m supposed to roll Iniative for everyone. I’ll go ahead and Re roll Iniative for everyone except the goblins. I forgot to roll for Sildar anyway.

But, I assume for the blade at my neck Im essentially grappled? Would I be able to slip my bonds or have been able to have previosuly hidden a lockpick and during the conversation have picked the lock?

You could make a sleight of hand check and attempt to free from your bonds as an action.

If I want to say something in a language I know, do I just make up words, because I can't find a giant translator.

Don’t feel obligated to do that if you don’t want to. I would just make it a spoiler to signify its in giant or just say "in giant"

For different languages, I usually put it in a spoiler like so:That way I don't need to know everyone's language proficiencies, those that can read it can click on it and those that can't don't lose out on part of the story.

Hey @chief12justice, hope you don't mind if my character thows a bit of shade Gu'lorg's way concerning his hobgoblin heritage. I assume you picked a monstrous race with this type of thing being a part of you character arc, but if that's not the case then just let me know. Sariel thinks of herself as a monster, and I can easily RP her as relating. But if you were hoping for a bit of friction to RP, i'm game too.

I thought your comment was appropriate. I would assume chief12justice would agree but won’t speak for him.

Gu'lorg is not tripping about people's reactions to him. He understands the prejudices, and doesn't take offense to suggestions that would better the party's situation. He may pick up a disguise self spell or an alter self spell at some point to aid in infiltration and such, but for the time being, he's content waiting for the rest of the party. He's not particularly antagonistic to people or hostile. Hobgoblins are typically honor-driven, and not so much rage-driven like orcs are.

I think it's better to use "notes", not spoilers when PC is away from the party.
Will avoid confusion like the current one...
