Druid Shephard is fine. To get you started on your backstory I ask the same question that I asked the other player whose thinking of creating a character with a solitary background. What would be the reason why all of a sudden a druid (especially shephard druid, who stays away from cities) would be venturing into a town like feldoor?

Go with your choice of
A. The amount of GP your class allows you to start with to spend on stuff, via the PH
or
B. The gear your class + background allows you to have.
