Hey Guy, don't forget to roll 7 stats rolls and then drop the lowest. DM is being extra generous.
I’m just a nice guy lol

Oh right! I'll add another roll.
Yay! Higher results!

Totals: 14, 11, 13, 17, 16, 10
Not bad at all!
I've been itching to make a Ranger Variant Human, with the Medium Armor Master feat. He'd be an Archer of course, and I'd love to make him a Monster Slayer when reaching level 3.
Would that be okay?

Varl, you add your Dex mod to your weapon attacks as well as your proficiency of +2. Then, you only add your dex mod to your damage.
assuming of course that they are ranged weapons or melee weapons with the finesse property...otherwise you add your strength modifier.
Thanks for the guidance fellas, all done.

So we have a Monk, Cleric and Ranger so far. I have a particular liking for Warlocks so I think I’ll tread that dark path once again.

Here go the rolls...

Edit: Standard Array it is then. :-)

I just submitted a half-elf fighter named Harold. He is a two-weapon fighting specialist. He is a thug, used as muscle by a local thieves' guild to extort people of their goods.

Two- W e a p o n F i g h t i n g
W hen you take the Attack action and attack with a light
melee weapon that you’re holding in one hand, you can
use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee
weapon that you’re holding in the other hand. You don’t
add your ability m odifier to the damage of the bonus
attack, unless that modifier is negative.
If either w eapon has the thrown property, you
can throw the weapon, instead of making a melee
attack with it.

I think you can't use a rapier if you want to two weapon fight? Can somone confirm or dispute my thought here?

Otherwise I like your character and will approve
Feb 20, 2018 8:13 pm
Also will need you to add your carrying weight for encumberance
Feb 20, 2018 8:16 pm
You're right. If you have the two weapon fighting style you can add your ability mod to the offhand attack, but you need the dual weilder feat in order to use a rapier in one hand.
Feb 20, 2018 8:31 pm
Gotcha. Well, maybe I'll change him up a bit then. Lemme figure it out.
Feb 20, 2018 8:34 pm
If you go variant human, you can take the feat.
Feb 20, 2018 9:18 pm
Okay, I kept the character mostly the same, but traded my rapier for a shortsword.

I also included the encumbrance.

Excellent once Flug's character is set and hooks are selected then we can get started
Feb 20, 2018 11:22 pm
Sucks about the rapier. Aren't they traditionally one handed weapons (realistically)
Feb 20, 2018 11:25 pm
They are indeed one handed. The rule is not about them being one handed, but that they are not classified as "light" weapons. Basically, it takes extra training to know how to use a rapier in one hand, and another weapon in another hand.

I have submitted my character, Thorndyke Grimm, a human (variant) Feylock from Luskan, who used to be a charlatan until he got caught and exiled from town. During his travels he mysteriously gained some magical powers and he doesn't yet know that he made a bargain with a fey.

Edit: oh, there's still one or two things to do to get the character finished, but it's complete for the most part. I'll finish everything in the morning (GMT).

Approved but you could adjust the spell names so they identify if it’s cantrip or first level.

Done. I have also added a feat (Actor) and a weapon (sling). I think all that is left is figuring out encumbrance but I really will need to do that in the morning. ;-)
