LFP - Burning Wheel Gold campaign

Let's play some Burning Wheel! I have some ideas but really we'd want to come up with the direction as a group. Vague directions: would definitely run some Burning THAC0, not interested in a "multiple factions vying for control" intrigue type, interested in exploring a "squad of soldiers mixed up in war and trying to survive as well as find meaning", also interested in playing The Sword PbP and continuing past - especially if we have a new player.

Not super in for 1-on-1, but I'm good with 2-4 players. 5 is too hard for me. Proof: my f2f game has 5 and it's very hard. :D

I think the procedure is to make a thread here, set up a game, and link to the game? If that's true then I'll set up a game today or tomorrow with intent to change its description once we decide on one.

Maybe a civil war type situation? Brother against brother, and all that. Seems like there's all kinds of room for tangled but not directly competing Beliefs in that.

There may or may not be a couple other BWG campaigns going right now, and this forums has proven to be hardly big enough for one. Shark_Bone and Whybover both struck one up a few weeks ago (https://gamersplane.com/games/824/, https://gamersplane.com/games/855/) but neither has more than 2 characters made, so I don't know if they're actually running or what. If both are just making do with those limited player numbers, I'd like to see some forces combine into a more robust BWG group.

I would LOVE to play in a BWG game! The squad of soldiers definitely sounds like a fun time, to me, as well.

One other thing I like about the squad of soldiers is it seems pretty easy to add (and, uh, very easy to remove) players. Sounds like y'all like the squad too. I'll create a game and we'll see if we get further takers! ...bear with me as I learn forum creation and whatnot.

On the subject of the two forum games: both have been playing with the character sheets posted onto the forum, adding them formally has been optional. I believe they both have 3 or 4 active players, and are chugging along with minimal interruptions.

Your game idea sounds great, unfortunately my next month is full of exams so I’ll be unable to participate, at least for the time being.

Big picture's ironed out, we're starting some character creation. Two players so far, but more are welcome. Check out https://gamersplane.com/games/967/ for the world - short version, there's a civil war which may be morally ambiguous. The initial situation will depend on initial PC burning, especially beliefs.
