She's saying it's speculation. There isn't proof of the act, but indeed it is a good place to start looking for clues. Having addressed Rabal he paused a moment and then took a look at the mayor to gauge his reaction. If one were so inclined of course.

Teffen continues to listen for conversations and tries desperately to ignore all the wonderful pouches swaying temptingly around his head.

The boys screams have become just whimpers of pain, as Ailas tries to set the broken bones in his arm. It is difficult, because they are broken into multiple pieces. After the torturous treatment, the boy seems to relax a bit, either because of the dark red berries or the otherworldly chants that Rabal performs.
Ailas and Rabal know that, in order to completely restore the shattered arm, it is not enough to try and set the bones. A skilled physician would have to cut the arm open and try to fit the pieces back together. In his current state, it is up to the gods if he can move his arm freely, once it is healed.

After this strange scene, Allie tries to answer Rabals questions: It could be the work of the Roaringhorn family, or some scoundrels they hired, but it's only speculation, as Valdas said correctly. If one were inclined to investigate, her look briefly wanders to Lord Alougarr, one would probably start with the Roaringhorns or by examining the elvish settlement in the woods.

Feel free to ask around, but do not cause any trouble in my town., the Lord says in an approving manner.

Teffen could not pick up any further conversations, but as he looks around on the street, the people seem to have returend to their daily routines. There are a number of shops on this road, which seems to be the main path through the town, from south to north. There is a shop that sells fruit and flowers and one that seems to be a hardware store located in an old barn about to fall down. Further down the road lies the big townsquare with the massive statue of a stallion, that seems to be the town's landmark.

I would be inclined to start by at least making an introduction to the elves that may remain in the settlement. Corellon Larethian would not look kindly on me if I were to ignore the plight of my fellows. Ailas says quietly to his group. The boy will need far more care than we can provide here, if he wants that arm to work properly again.
Mar 10, 2018 2:33 pm
Agreed, mister. I will follow you to take the boy to where he can receive proper treatment.
Mar 10, 2018 9:18 pm
Perhaps we should inform our caravan of our plans before we go running to god knows what? I'm not sure how long they planned on his being here. Valdas said before approaching the lord grasping at his sleeve, and in a shocked tone My lord, we would never hope to bring trouble to your fine and fair town. Rest assured. Before standing straight again and smoothing out the front of his dark purple robes with his hands. What is your stance on this conflict between these herders and the Elves? he asks in a much calmer tone, but raising his eyebrow at this lord.
Mar 10, 2018 9:27 pm
Aye, informing them would be good. They mentioned last night that several of them were keen on staying on here for a few days, as I remember it. Ailas says softly before turning his attention to the lord as well.

Slipping up silently Teffen softly says.
We should return the boy to his people, some of these big people dont like us others.

"Hmmm..." Rabal frowns deeply, pondering the options.

"I would like to hear the voices of the forest elves. Stories about the power of their medicine precedes them. Maybe they can restore the boy's arm and earn greater esteem in the sight of the village people. If the Roaring Horns are threatening the forest elf way of life, then I too think we should begin with hearing about their plight first..."

I agree that we need to get the boy back to his people.
Mar 20, 2018 10:26 pm
The boy can stay here until he recovers from his wounds. I will prepare a room for him here and I will look after him and bring him food and drink, but it would be nice if he could return to his people, I guess, Allie offers. The others, including the mayor, nod silently.
OOC:
So if I'm not mistaken, some of you want to visit the Roaringhorn family, and some of you want to investigate the woods and find the elves. I think I don't want to split the party if not necessary, but ultimately it's up to you.
The third option would be to transport the boy to his elven tribe in the woods, but with his injuries, that would't be an easy task.
Mar 20, 2018 11:41 pm
OOC:
Valdas would like to go talk to both parties, but doesn't really care which is first. Maybe give the boy day and night to rest and then take him back to his people in the morning?

What's everyone elses thoughts?

I would not want to necessarily approach the elves with the news that their kin is lying here in town recovering from wounds. Better to approach the Roaringhorn first, and in a day or so, when the lad is healed, we can take him back to his family so the news comes with the joy of his return in one message. Ailas says, his face quietly impassive during the delivery.

OOC:
I somehow missed that the boy in question was an elf... Doh!
Rabal nods in agreement, suddenly noticing the length of the injured boy's ears.

"The Roaring Horns must explain their part in what has happened to this wood elf boy..."

I agree, but first we should let the boy rest and get him to his people I think. Im sure they're worried. Maybe let him rest and we escort him back in the morning? In the mean time we could go talk to the roaring horns for today?

As long as he is safe from the bhig people maybe we can trust his care to this woman. For all their prettyness Elves can a prickly and fickle lot and may not ask questions till after they have calmed down from the news. At least with big people you know exactly where they stand.
Mar 27, 2018 12:09 am
Rabal nods, a big, exaggerated bobbing of his chin.

"We speak to the Roaring Horns now then..." he states, satisfied with their decision. He gathers up his medicine pouch and his staff, stepping toward the inn entrance.

"Perhaps someone should stay with him just in case? I don't mind doing it, but I have no medical experience. He paused. "Were something to happen to him." He finishes before whispering "Think he's safe here?"
Mar 30, 2018 10:19 am
You can go and find out who has done this to the boy. He will be safe here, Allie says, The Roaringhorn's farm lies on the eastern end of the town, just follow the road from the town square.
OOC:
So I guess all of you want to visit the Roaringhorns now, or is someone staying with the boy or want to do something else?
Mar 30, 2018 2:55 pm
OOC:
Valdas will stay with the boy if no one else volunteers.
Better to be too cautious than not cautious enough. He says addressing Allie. You all go, I'll stay with the boy.
