If you have Strength score of 10 or more, you can jump over even from the standing still position. Otherwise take 10ft start and you can do it with STR 5+[ +- ] Leylin's scouting scene
I slowly enter this cellar while keeping my ears and eyes open to any sigh of the danger. After looking around the room, I approach stone cistern and examine it.
Any rolls needed?

Leylin would check how tall and dry/slippery are the walls of the cistern, how deep is the water, if there is anything at the bottom of it. This thing is in the way of his retreat, so he will pay it utmost attention to not faceplant into it later :DAny rolls needed?

Hal nods to the suggestion of jumping over the crevasse and does so with a running start. He lands hard on the other side but stands strong after a short recovery. He approaches the group and whispers, I'm Hal and that's Shen, he gestures over at the half-elf he entered with. What is going on here?

i dont trust my rolls right now, i was gonna cartwheel or flip or something pertty across but ill just walk. :)Shenea notices the other bridge and crosses the gorge that way. Ya know... a bridge is easier most of the time. As she approaches the group she curtseys as if in a dress while wearing the chainmail and shield. Its a pleasure! She notices that the guys are dirty. We need to get you a bath when we get into town proper.

The cistern is filled with cold, fresh water. It is 10 feet deep with a rim that Is two feet higher than the surrounding floor. Pipes heading up seem to drain into the cistern.

OH well on that note... Shenea kinda puts her self toward the frontish noticing the others don't look like they have much armor. She then crouches behind the shield with her mace sticking out of the side. In a hushed tone Do we know what were ambushing?

After finishing with the inspection, I approach the door and ready my crossbow. Few more breaths time to concentrate and spring into action. Swiftly open the door, shoot at any redbrand I can see and run away. I jump over the cistern and rum into the tunnel towards my allies.

As we discussed in "Rules Clarifications" - with Light Step Leylin doesn't need running start :)By my calculations he should be able to make it to the point where tunnel makes turn.
And yes, he did it without saying anything. Probably with a poker face as well.
