Just as Leylin reaches the mouth of hallway in the direction he is heading, he hears the sound of the secret door swinging open,

I instantly back away towards the forest exit and prepare aim the crossbow to the secret tunnel, ready to shoot.
OOC:
With Light Step Leylin doesn't need running start, so he crosses crevice and ducks into the cover with 'Ready Action' to shoot at any enemy that appears in his sights

After a few tense moments you hear the sounds of footfalls and from around the bend appears two figures, both the Redbrand that had fled earlier as well as Mosk, the bugbear.
OOC:
Leylin take your shot w/advantage as they don't see you, then you are ahead in initiative so you can then take another full turn of action.

Hearing the pleasant sound of crossbow bolt entering bugbear's flesh, I grin a little, quickly reload and shoot again...

I would like to make two headshots, please? :D

With surgical precision an arrow whistles briefly through the air and lands in the bugbears one good eye. He takes a step forward as if nothing had happened before losing his balance and landing on his face. The Redbrand has a look of shock and fear on his face and he turns to Leylin just in time for another arrow to split his eyebrows. Blood trickles down the bridge of his nose as his eyes roll back in his head and he crumpled lifeless to the ground.

After both bugbear and redbrand fall down, I reload the crossbow and stay alert for a few minutes. Waiting. Listening for any movement.
OOC:
If nothing happens Leylin would:
1. Find Hal's body
2. Gather fallen allies' bodies in one place.
3. Put Gu'lorg and Spark in somewhat comfortable arrangements (puts them on bedrolls, uses Healer's Kit to bandage wounds)
4. If they still not awake at that point - he will start gathering redbrands and bugbears in two 'piles' while 'looting' them
5. Check the 'stash' down in the crevice

I guess at that point Gu'lorg and Spark will come to?

As the adrenaline begins to subside Leylin begins to focus on his surroundings and waits to see if anything, or anyone, should appear. After a period of time nothing happens and Leylin begins looking for the missing Elf that had recently arrived with the now dead half-elf woman. After beginning to search, he finds the body of the now deceased Elf at the bottom of the set of steps that the bugbears had originally appeared from. As Leylin begins to search the body he hears some breathing and what he thinks sounds somewhat like whimpering coming from the room just to his south, the door only slightly ajar.

You peak your head into the room to find the shaking form of a goblin attempting to hide under a bunk. The room stinks and is clearly where the Bugbears were sleeping. The goblin does not attempt to attack you but cowers instead. You instantly recognize him as the very same goblin you let escape in front of the goblin hideout just a few days ago. The both of you show signs of recognition at the same time.

Surprised by this "reunion", I enter the room and say to him in goblin:

— Well, what we have here? I smile at him. You appear to be the last survivor here as all bugbears are dead... So if you won't struggle while I'm tying you up - I can promise that you won't be killed. At least - not anytime soon.

Please no hurt Droop, Droop make no trouble! Droop remember elf and friends from Klarg cave. Droop no problem. Droop can help, what help can Droop give?"
Aug 7, 2018 11:17 pm
— For now, I take out the rope and slowly approach Droop. You just need to sit here. Quitely. We will ask you some questions later. And if you will be good - we might even let you go later.
OOC:
Leylin will tie Droop up and leave him in this room for now. He will close the door and if possible - lock it from outside.
Aug 8, 2018 2:42 am
Droop does not resist Leylin at all. Yes,Ok, Droop sit her quietly and Elf let Droop go, ok". The door closes but you see no clear way to lock the door from the outside.

OOC:
Leylin will continue with above mentioned plan of actions :)

Leylin moves the bodies around and makes Spark and Gu'lorg as comfortable as he can.

Looking through the fallen bodies of the Redbrands Leylin finds the following: 28sp 12gp 15ep and two garnets

The bugbears carried nothing except for the one with the jewel encrusted eyepatch. Beyond the eyepatch itself which is black leather with semiprecious stones "bedazzled" on it, he also carried a belt pouch containing 33 sp and an iron key.

While recovering Hal's body you looked into the room he was headed towards and noticed a table with bottles and cards on it. Upon closer inspection you find quite a bit of coin was left on the table from an apparent card game you broke up. The amount on the table are 75cp, 55sp, 22ep, 15gp and a set of gold earrings with a tiny ruby.

Once you feel satisfied in all that you carefully make your way down into the crevasse to investigate what Seron told you before leaving. Underneath the Northern bridge you spot a cubby hole containing a battered wooden chest. Inside you find 160sp, 120gp, five malachite gems, two potions you recognize immediately as Healing potions and another potion that you do not recognize right away.

The chest also holds a longsword in a silver-chased scabbard. The sword, upon inspection, is found to be inscribed with the name "Talon" and its hilt is worked in the shape of a bird of prey with outspread wings.

With potions of healing in my hands I pause and stare at them for a second. Look up to the place where three fallen allies are laid out. Sigh and put them into the backpack, while shacking my head. I put everything but the sword and unknown potion into my backpack and approach unconscious pair to check up on them...
OOC:
I've updated my sheet to include the "loot" and updated total weight.
I've also added one more shortsword as you've said that redbrands used them. So Leylin would pick up the best one either from the slain enemies or the armory.
About that "Talon" - any chance for a history check? :D
And if Spark and Gu'lorg are still out - Leylin would inspect the room with water cistern and aligned barracks.

About crossbow bolts, any chance there were any in armory?

Tell me if you need any rolls.

PS. What about the iron key from bugbear? Leylin would check if it was for the room where he tied up goblin and if it is - lock it.

When can we hope to get back on our feet? After a short rest I guess, to spend a hit dice and get some HP back?
I'm somewhat eager to get trashed by our stealthy scout for my lousy performance ! :-D

Leylin - You can make a history check for the sword.

You try the iron key out on the lock and find that it works perfectly. You head towards the armory to find the door locked. Deciding to try the key again you find that it works that door as well and you gain entrance to the room. Racks of weapons line the walls of this chamber, including spears, swords, crossbows, and bolts. A dozen dirty cloaks hang from the books by the door.

As you enter the cistern room make a perception check.
OOC:
Spark and Gu’lorg are out still. They will awaken soon with 1 hp each. I will prompt you at that time.

OOC:
Leylin will take one shortsword, refill his quiver and pack one extra. So it should leave 6 full quivers and one with 8 bolts.

(10) + 4 = 14

Perception - (1d20+3)

(1) + 3 = 4

Leylin feels like he may have heard the name in a story once but can’t seem to place it.

The only thing Leylin finds in the cellar and barracks are barrels containing salted pork and beef, flour, sugar, apples and ale.
