Can I use the rolls I made before for a level 15 character that never materialized? I'm looking at an Elven wizard, looking towards a Bladesinger when and if I reach level 2.

Also, for a level 1 character, do we just take the standard equipment from the PHB? I saw something about 5000 gold but I assume that's for higher levels.

5,000 was for the 5th level game.
23,000 was for the 15th level game.
I'm guessing, if y'all are starting at 1st level, it is the standard start; background/class or roll for wealth.

Rolling for my 1st-level pirate dude!
Alright, not bad rolls. 13, 11, 14, 15, 13, 11
I just submitted Happy, the stout halfling barbarian tribesman who was captured and brought into slavery for the pirate's game.

Arina, can I make my elf rogue (for the pirate game) be the gender fluid kind? It's a new thing in Mordekainen's Tome of Foes, they can change gender once per day. I plan to get the book as soon as it comes out (this week, I think) so I can find out what the exact rules are of that. Sounds interesting though.

I can send you those rules, if you would like. I have a pre-ordered copy. Let me see if I can find those rules.

If either of you could send me the rules just so I know how it works then that would be great
My usual rule is that anything from officially published material is fine although I tend to shy away from most monster PC races.
It certainly sounds interesting!

Chief12justice could you send the rules to both of us, or just copy them here! Thanks!

So, I am not seeing anything regarding fluid gender rules for elves. I have found that eladrin (a new subrace of elf) have seasons as a key part of their makeup, and they can change seasons after a long rest, which affects their personality as well as their fey step ability. You could probably couple the gender change with the season change, if you wanted.
I will keep looking to see if there are gender fluidity mechanics in place, but as of now, I could not find anything about it.

Found it! Page 44:
THE BLESSED OF CORELLON
Ever changing, mirthful, and beautiful, the primal elves could assume whatever sex they liked. When they bowed to Lolth's influence and chose to fix their physical forms, elves lost the ability to transform in this way. Yet occasionally elves are born who are so androgynous that they are proclaimed to be among the blessed of Corellon - living symbols of the god's love and of the primal elves' original fluid state of being. Many of Corellon's chief priests bear this blessing.
The rarest of these blessed elves can change their sex whenever they finish a long rest - a miracle celebrated by elves of all sorts except drow. (The DM decides whether an elf can manifest this miracle.) Dark elves find this ability to be terrifying and characterize it as a curse, for it could destabilize their entire society. lf Corellon's blessing manifests in a drow, that elf usually flees to the surface world to seek shelter among those dedicated to Corellon.

Cool. Works for me. Is that the only ability granted to that subrace of elves?
May 25, 2018 11:17 pm
That’s not even related to the eladrin. It’s just an elf variant that can be applied to any elf.
May 26, 2018 3:28 am
Ok good to know, I changed my elf type to drow, because that's a more interesting combination with this ability.
May 26, 2018 3:34 am
I see. So it's just an extra ability. Ok so Pjakobs, it's up to you how you want to incorporate this into your character. Just make sure to describe the difference in appearance (if any) or voice (again, if any).

I goofed and rolled in the wrong thread again; the dice hate me like always though, so I'm taking point buy regardless.
