Any specific requests (Arena PVP, PVE, want to fight a red dragon, steal the king's crown, fight pirates, adventure hooks etc.)

When purchasing magic items for higher level characters we are using the rules on page 135 of the DMG:

Common magic Items (any level): 75 gold each
Uncommon magic items (any level): 300 gold each
Rare (level 5+): 2,250 gold each
Very Rare (level 11+): 20,000 gold each

When purchasing magical armour the magic cost is in addition to the base cost.

For example, should you want Adamantine Full Plate, then you'd need to buy the Full Plate (1500 gold and then buy the Adamantine (300 gold), so that item would cost 1800 gold.

I'd like to play a mid-to-high tier adventure (somewhere in the 13-20 range). Something where we likely all know each other, have adventured before. Nothing where we openly dislike or have massive disagreements with one another. Those days are in our past as we band together against some mighty foe(s). Fighting against a nasty black dragon in some fetid swamp or being contracted to delve into the depths of a recently uncovered tomb full of eldritch horrors (mummies, zombie beholders, a lich, possibly a dracolich, wicked traps, undead specters, etc).

Personally, I've little concern for WHAT I play (likely would depend on the story to figure out what makes sense). That said, a high level cleric sounds crazy fun, as does a half-orc bard or something equally weird.

I am looking for a lower level adventure (1-6) I do not believe I am familiar enough with the higher level content to join a high level campaign.

I have a fighter 1 warlock x build going that I would really like to get some experience using in combat and role play.

I would be interested in an arena PVE/PVP type setting for few encounters.
Maybe something like a gladiator style arena where we must battle through rounds of increasing difficulty.

I would be willing to play any sort of adventure.

I'm in a similar situation to Corban, Im game for anythign but idk the higher lvl stuffs. Willing to create them allll!!! mwhahahahahhahha ~cough~ hahah... oh forget it. ..

realisticlly im looking for a low to mid lvl 1-10 kind of thing. the furthest lvl i've ever gotten to play was lvl 10 in 1st ed. but other then that i normally get to about lvl 5 then something happens to the game.

I wouldn't be against something kicking off at like level 5 or 6 either if that's what the majority of folks are looking for. I've got stacks of character concepts to throw into worlds for giggles and grins. I figured I'd throw the high level part out there because in my experience with PBP, it's rare to get much beyond level 8 or 9 in most games, and those that do typically do it over the course of years. Especially with a one shot, it's a great way to screw around with truly world-altering magics and ridiculous martial accomplishments with little to no lasting effect. :)

agreed. I just never looked that far into the character developements in the book.. i generally stop looking at like lvl 7 cause i know i most likely wont get past that :(

I have a few ideas that i'm willing to try out.
-> captian america being on of them. but i think for it to work properly i need to be like lvl 6

I am more for something higher, I'm not experienced AT ALL at playing that but I feel this might be the only way to find out what it's like and reading in the book about stuff that comes with higher levels I get all excited. If no one else is interested, lower level is good too, but yeah, playing from low to high on here seems kind of impossible within a decade:-p, so starting high just to test it out sounds very good to me^^

For what I want to play, I like doing new stuff, doing weird stuff, and at some point, I would like to finally be able to play a sorcerer, (both games that started with me as a sorcerer ended before the end of the first fight). But I am definitely willing to adapt to what fits the story. I'll make it work;-)!

I liked some of the suggestions from the other thread, for instance the challenging the gods idea, or the more mystic stuff. But I'd definitely be up for other stuff, high or low level.

I think any of these ideas would be fun! Just so long as something gets off the ground and actually, happens, I'm happy to be in it.

For a suggestion of my own, anybody interested in trying a party of all one race or class? For example, all halflings or all sorcerers or something wacky. I've heard a party of all bards can be a lot of fun. Interestingly, I've heard the same thing about all barbarians ;)

I have absolutely no problems running both a high level and a lower level game. There are also no problems if you would like to run characters in both games.

I've already taken some of your ideas on board and I've started forming the basics of an adventure for a party of level 5-7 characters.

I have also started creating a mid-high level game for a party of level 12-15 players.

I'd like to have at least 5 players before I begin an adventure and the more the merrier. So if you'd like to play in either game (or both) do let me know.

Once we have enough players I'll have you roll characters and then we'll get underway.

I'm looking for more of a level 5-10 character. I'd really like to try to put together a monk. I've never played one but I've been interested in trying one. I know you said no UA, but is Xanthars ok? I was thinking of a re-skinned drunken master as more of an Irish monk who brews whiskey and is more of a brawler/hooligan type. But really I'm open for anything. The all bard one could be fun.
Apr 6, 2018 1:59 am
No problems with any officially published material, although I am hesitant to allow monster PCs unless everyone in the party agrees.
Apr 6, 2018 2:11 am
Arina, until you set the characters per player to something other than 0, no one can submit. :) I'm definitely down for both the mid and high level adventures.

Do we have any thematic information about the two for building out backstories and the like?
Apr 6, 2018 2:26 am
ive always wanted to see an all x type party, an all cleric one woudl be mildly confusing but quite comical i can imagine...
Apr 6, 2018 2:34 am
Good catch Drama. I tried to set a limit of 20 but it looks like the maximum is 9 characters per player.

As for theme. They both involve some kind of mystery.

The low level story involves the sudden appearance of a desert in what was previously an agrarian plains. Your job will involve helping the local duke to sort out and hopefully reverse this process.

In the high level story your party is working directly for the king. Recently, he has lost all contact with Southwatch, his southernmost frontier city. He wants you to investigate the cause of this problem.
Apr 6, 2018 3:08 am
I've never played a character past 11th level. Sign me up to work for the king!

If you need another player to start up the lower level one, I'll happily play there too.
Apr 6, 2018 6:36 am
Count me in for the higher level game!
Apr 6, 2018 8:24 am
I'm also up for a high level game!
Apr 6, 2018 10:56 am
Crunched some math and it looks like you'll need to be level 15.
Apr 6, 2018 12:24 pm
Level 15 works! *runs off to make something up*. I'm personally leaning towards a totem or storm barbarian for the high level game. Someone that is known as a renowned survivalist and such to head out into the frontier lands.

For the lower level game, I'm considering a bard that's interested in chronicling the weird desert thing.
Apr 6, 2018 2:21 pm
Ill join in for the lower, is the lower game a start at lvl 1 type?
