Seeing the creature grow weak, Tinwë feels sorrowful as she fires a few more arrows at it. If we had time for a more peaceful solution, to learn more about you and how you came to be here... but there is no time to waste. People are dying! Best to put you down quickly.

Releasing another volley of magic Fah'lin calls out, "Champion, how are you faring? Is the beast more than you can handle?" There is clear mirth in her tone. So far, this battle is going well. If the situation doesn't change it should be over in a few more moments.

Answering to Fah'lin, "When young, Kuz had dog that bite harder!! Kuz have fun now !!"
Apr 23, 2018 9:52 pm
Pyrrha allows herself a restrained chuckle as she hears Fah'lin clamoring for her champion like a sick damsel. Where she not a league above her in the sky and occupied with a giant ravenous monstrosity, Pyrrha would poke fun at her for the fact. However, as it stands, she finds herself somewhat distracted by the beast, and fires off another brilliant beam toward its head.

Rolana rides towards the creature and activates her rope which entangles the thrashing creature. Whilst, that's happening Aetoris lines up and takes a perfect shot. The arrow races through the air into the creature's mouth and up into its brain. The beast falls to the ground. Dead.
OOC:
Jesus. My monster died in two rounds. Three if you count the surprise round. Well done everyone!

Interesting thought Hulk. By the way, excellent beating on this thing. I'm concerned why it decided to rise up here. Anyone have any idea where these bastards live normally? Any chance this is connected to the issues at Southwatch? Aetoris says, face scrunching slightly. With a cautious glance he looks around the grove.

We shouldn't tarry too long now that the beast is dealt with. Perhaps a quick stop in the town proper to let them know the issue is over. They would likely need to find a way to properly dispose of the carcass in some fashion. I'm sure a hunter could make proper use of nearly everything on this creature. That hide is far from delicate.

Rolana dismounts and retrieves her rope, looping it up and returning it to her bag. She grips the reins loosely and absently strokes her horse's neck (a mare named Feyborn that Rolana often chooses for her mount) as she walks around the orchard looking for some sign of where the bulette had come from.

The person who told us about the beast's attack said that it came from underground, but so far, I haven't seen any sign of its passage. I'd like to write this off as some kind of coincidental encounter, but if it was summoned here magically...
OOC:
Rolling to investigate the area.

Just as Pyrrha begins to wonder how much of a beating the beast is willing to take, a glint flashes through the air and strikes it squarely. A plume of blood blossoms from the impact, and the beast sinks low and lies still. Despite the gore, the kill is artful.

Still hooded and apparently unrecogonised in the commotion, she stands still and watches as the many others converge around the corpse. She gives particular note to the elven marksman as he passes her from behind. She tarries briefly behind the group as they discuss over the beast's body, then approaches slowly to the fringe of the discussion.

In a quiet moment she interjects gleefully, ever with a flair for the theatrical,
"I commend you on the beginning of a job well done, champions!" With their attention, she throws back her hood and plants her fists on her hips.

"It's about time, Pyrrha!" Tinwë snickers. "I thought you were going explode with envy if Uncle didn't let you leave. I'm glad you made him see reason." She pauses, peering more intensely at her cousin, then lets loose a colorful curse. "You didn't." She gives an exasperated sigh.

@Kuz: Your survival check let's you onow that while the creature's shell is very think and difficult to cut, it's underbelly is less well protected. You think that you could cut through it with relative ease.

@Kuz and Anwin: As you are examining the creature you can't help but notice the multitude of scars all over the creature's body. Most of them look perfectly natural but one stands out. You see a very deep, thick gash in the creature's head. It looks like an old wound that healed very badly. The wound looks too precise as if something incredibly sharp made the wound. It does not look natural.

@Rolana: You don't find a cave or any obvious signs of passage but near the village you do find a large patch of recently moved earth. At first glance it looks like a recently plowed field but it is too small and it's out of alignment with the rest of the farms. You conclude that this was probably where the beast came from.

@Oma Salie: You definitely need to roll perception to find good apples :P

@Oma Salie: you find what looks to be a juicy red apple. You take an enormous bite and find a worm in the middle of it!
Apr 25, 2018 7:51 am
Startled by her discovery Oma spits out the piece of apple in her mouth. She looks at the worm crawling out of the remainder of apple. Oh dear, I'm sorry! Did I eat your house?! How rude of me! She reaches down towards the ground, flying mere inches above it, and puts the apple in the grass. She looks around at the trees but decides against trying another one or picking some for an apple pie, not wanting to destroy more houses.
Instead she moves over to Pyrrha, smiling her most grandmotherly smile. I'm glad you decided to join us, and such great timing Pyrrha! She leans forward, winking. And even though your father is the king, breaking his rules is healthy from time to time. You're not made of glass after all!
