Chapter 2: My Brother's Keeper

It seems that Iris doesn't turn off her location tags when she takes morbid selfies in her bedroom. One particular image stands out. She is dressed in all black with vampire fangs and what looks like fake blood. Her dress reveals her full body curves, she is overweight for sure, but she still looks stunning. On her arms are tattoos of skulls, bats and a dagger. The tagline of the image says "Geri, I am coming for you ;)"

The gps info puts her in a small apartment in Bothel, north Seattle. About 25 minutes from where you are. Mapquest shows the apartment to be in a residential neighborhood.

The four of you hop in the Ford uhMericar and the rain starts pouring. Tonight is a doozy. The neon lights streak by stretched and warped by the water. The vehicle's mapquest program takes you a strange circuitous route, the routing algorithm presumable finding the "best" route. Luckily the rain and strange route seem to have let you into Bothel unnoticed. Very few pings for your SIN got through the noise, and most of those were Spamware easily dealt with by your firewalls.

Eventually you come upon a decent middle class neighborhood. With plenty of CCTV cameras on every corner and most homes. You see some homes have even left room for plastic green lawns. Iris lives in a decent apartment complex about 6 stories high. Her apartment number is 5e. Without getting out you see the entrance is a bright red steel door and has a card key. There is also a buzzer system on the left of the door. A small camera watches silently above the door. Sitting silently just inside the hallway is a steel, dog shaped, Doberdrone.

The astral realm feels almost dead in thus sterile environment. Even the residual emotions seem suppressed, probably by the routine lives of these middle class wage slaves.

Wyvern sees icons for the apartment under the iHouse host. This is a standard MicroDeck host. A small animated paperclip is walking back and forth like a security guard

Lu disappears completely but as he does so a flood a mana hits him and he he can feel internal bruising in his chest (2 drain).

Wyvern's hack sweeps past the patrolling paperclip and makes its way to the front door of the iHouse host. It scratches at the code until it has an almost undetectable mark on it. The paperclip continues its rounds unaware.

Wyvern now has access to the host with 1 mark. The immediate icons she sees are the Doberdrone, the camera, the front door and a door icon that says iHouse security and management facility. Right now the baby monitor makes a tiny blip and the number 1 pops up on the counter.
