Disclaimer: This is the first time I've played a combat in SR. Somebody keep me right, please XD. Would I be at a penalty for firing at the woman since Lu is in close combat with it?

It is -3 to your dice pool and I believe -3 to Lu and the woman's dice pool also if you shoot into melee. However, the large troll behind them might be a nice target!

The woman is small but very fast. She dodges to the side avoiding Lu's sword like Neo dodges bullets.

Nyx's deadly attack slams into the large troll's flesh. The disease must have weakened it as it takes more damage than most trolls.

However, staggering and bloody it reaches its long arms out and smashes its fists at Nyx.

6 hits against Nyx. So Nyx can try to dodge or full defense to see if she can avoid the fist.

Dodge: reaction and intuition and -5 to your initiative. If you are attacked again you will need to take the action again and the initiative penalty.

The other option is Full defense: reaction, intuition and willpower but -10 to your initiative. You also get to roll this the entire turn.

Peaches pumps the troll with lead and the troll slams heavily to the ground.

Eyes red and bulging she follows Lu's every move then with frighting ferocity the ghoul scrambles so close to Lu he finds it difficult to get a swing. Saliva sprays and strings from her mouth as she screams for food.

The ghoul woman is so close to Lu Peaches has a hard time picking her off. He pulls off a single round that strays and hits the concrete wall. Chips of concrete fly through the air. "I'll eat Betsy next!" She yells as she attempts to bite Lu's neck. Then she attempts to tear his flesh with her broken claws.
