Carmen pulls her hair back behind her head with a bobby pin. "Maybe we can't be looking too far into things. It's maybe not surprising the Romani ran away from you. They might have thought you were the authorities." The woman straightens up and dusts off her jacket. "In Italy, for instance, they have a hard time with the crack-downs. Even after generations, if you don't have papers, you can get detention, then a one-way trip to the border." Carmen spits. "Italians say Romani don't pay taxes, they aren't citizens. You hear similar things when you're a Latina refugee in the U.S." She shrugs. "I'm wondering if maybe we shouldn't be surprised they ran off?"

Haha! Just going off the note Remnant sent me. I may have misunderstood, and can edit Carmen's speech to better reflect why Romani from Italy might be in California.

Well it's a little from column A and a little from column B, Current affairs Romani in Italy know what happens when local law enforcement pick you up for a 'talk', the rest know a bit why Cali local romani may have a beef with the Gallo family... Denton might have another but he doesn't know it yet.

I edited Carmen's comments to indicate she's making an assumption based on news she's heard from Italy, where the Gallos are from. Carmen would presumably also know about Romani in Paraguay, her home country, where they tend to be used car dealers. (Seriously!)

You find yourselves at the campfire the embers fully died down check out an area where Calvin pointed out where three people were laying down to operate some kind of weapon, from the other markings is looks rather large. You all notice with Calvin's pointing it out what it was it was pointing in the direction Denton and Jackson were in.

You have the sounds of night slowly creep in around you in the night time and you realize you have options. Stay put until there's sun light, move away from here to find a place to rest that didn't have some fireworks go off over it, or try and track down any tracks in the dark.
