Scene 3 - The Ardeyn Run

Seth mindfully removes his gear and meditates to center himself before bedding down for the long night.

The morning comes. Even though you are deep inside a fortress, far from windows, you know if is morning. The magical lights brighten, and the quality of the light becomes more lively.

Outside your rooms, the Pyramid becomes one of those early morning drinking places in cities like Las Vegas or Amsterdam. You know, except more Roman than modern. Hard cases are the same everywhere.

The smell of old beer and sour ale hits you like a cloud of gnats.

Your recovery pools are replenished. What do you do?

Micah will be directed down to the stables. For obvious reasons, these are located on the main floor, and Micah might be surprised to realize he's currently on the 12th. Taking the many flights of stairs down, he finds two main options: talbuk (a sort of riding elk/antelope), or a wagon/carriage pulled by a team of rhinos. A wagon would be cheapest since there are 6 of you (assuming you're going to drag Domic) around. A carriage would be faster, and getting six talbuk would be both the fastest and the most expensive as you would have to buy them outright. The wagon and carriage would each come with a driver.

Katyu is given a snifter of Green Wilds brandy, and it is both fragrant yet subtle on the palate. Also, it kicks like vintage Stoli.

Duke finds Domic locked into a room, with a heavy chair jammed under the doorknob. You're not sure how robust that is against a recursor, but he is inside - you can hear his hippo like snoring.

Seth finds that there are several of those Black Moon Explorer adventurers lurking about, but what really gains his attention are the peacemakers. He notices them noticing him, and then notices that they are royal peacemakers, which means that they directly serve the queen.
