Scene 3 - The Ardeyn Run

Dragon: 3/40, TN 18, Armor 1 (distracted for one round, actions against it one step easier to TN 15)

Duke is up.

With Micah's mind meld, he is able to piece together when things seem familiar. You find yourself at the bottom of a series of windows carved into the stone wall of the cavern, all smashed in and collapsed, except for the top one, some 30' up. Scaling the wall is difficult, but even if you failed in that attempt, you have someone in your retinue who can teleport, so you will gain access to the dragons Lair, and hoard.

You find 1200 crowns, and three cyphers
-a silver medallion with the image of an eagle
-a violet gemstone
-a leather facemask

Oh yeah, and the Rukish weapon. It's bioorganic technology has mutated, become more Ardeynic around the edges, metals turning to bronze and gold, electronic readouts morphing into crystals, pale green and brown colors turned to reds and yellows. But the shape of it is there, and for all its destructive intent of design, you can sense the malevolence of its engineers even now. Worse somehow, animated, unstable.

It is clearly unstable. You don't know what would happen if it were to experience a failure.

The cypher begins draining the power from the weapon. As it does, the Ruk device fully transforms into an Ardeyian style art piece, more Ark of the Covenant, no more Sci Fi terror bomb. The crystal jewels glow brightly once, then even that inner light fades.

The capacitor, however, seems entirely charged, and practically buzzes, static electricity running across its surface.
