I'm going to build a forest gnome wizard; will use point buy because I tend to have terrible luck with rolling stats.

how do you want the rolling? 3d6 4d6 drop lowest? 1-3 stat blocks? not to give to much grief. if its trouble i can use pointbuy/arrary

4d6 dropping lowest if you prefer rolling. I think that's what's in the book, and I didn't pay enough attention in statistics to go correcting it. :p

I see two sets of rolls here... the first one looks fairly good. 12, 16, 15, 9, 8, 16 certainly leaves you good for most options. The second set... not so much...

well the first is the 4d6 drop lowest

@Cancerman I hadn't considered goblin characters, but why not? Xanathar's is fine. This is the first I'm hearing of lost notes. I'm fine with that too. I'll have to pick up a copy soon.

I was thinking of playing a Goblin Barbarian, and Lost Notes has an interesting subclass, Sacred Kin. It basically lets the barbarian cast a couple of sorcerer spells, sort of like a melee version of the sorcerer's ancestral origin.

Reading it and it's nuts. Lets a barbarian multiclass spellcaster and have wonderful AC. I might have to try it myself later.
