Crap. Sorry Aelar, I totally threw us into combat!
Every time I try to make a semi-serious moment for Crolwell, and show why he is doing what he is doing, he always throws me off!
Oh man, that is probably the best start to the combat I could have hoped for. I figured Ütés was going to be the first to dive on in, I was mostly just trying to make sure you wouldn't actually drop your weapons and leave. I knew Crolwell would never give up the fluba.
Once we have all the initiatives in I'll post the order and set the scene for how the battle starts. I will try and avoid needing to use a grid, we will try and theater of the mind this campaign. So distances will be generalized and unless the distances are quite vast, or if someone is trying to hoof it away from the fight, they shouldn't come into play too much. Just know if you have people within melee distance of you and you run, you trigger opportunity attacks against you.
The only time you roll for a spell is when it has an attack roll involved, such as fire bolt. In that case you roll d20+proficiency+Int Mod. Other than that they are auto-success or require an opponent to make a saving throw.
You also won't add your int mod to damage from a spell unless the spell or a class feature says so.
Yes, just make sure to carefully read the spell details. You only roll if it says to make an attack roll, or if something says that "on a successful hit". Or similar.
