Just wanted to give an update, I've been a bit preoccupied (mentally or otherwise) which is eating my creativity/motivation to GM. I'll try to get another post up today or tomorrow.

Thanks for the update! I'm in this for the long haul, so don't worry about it from me. You take care of yourself!

Still here!

Apologies to all, but circumstances have changed around here so that I will be able to be online a lot less than I used to. To my Somebox, please feel free to bot (heh!) PROWL. I hope my situation changes soon. Thanks!

Delayed response: That's okay Jabes, thanks for the heads up!

To everyone else: How should we proceed given these changing circumstances, we could:

1) Have me autopilot them.
2) Have someone autopilot them.
3) Something else?

I figure once the 'dungeon' is complete we can put P.R.O.W.L and the doctor off to the side for now.

I'll also just go ahead and tell you what I sent to Jabes in the last note so that things won't be at a stalemate:

"You notice one of the Hob-Medics slooooooowly reaching for what appears to be a beeper. You're pretty sure their intent won't make the situation any easier. You also hear Flitter continually mutter how they will 'show them the true radiance of the moon' if only they had their star... "

Geez, I completely forgot to respond to this.

I generally prefer DM-autopilot for absent players, at least when their characters don't have a convenient means of exiting the picture.

The dr. is back in the office... somewhere :D

I'm slowly coming back online to GP

You aren't the only one! Past few months have been really crazy (but you already know about that), Jabes is still preoccupied (last I checked), Campeador has been inactive for 2 months~.

Bad news time: I think I should drop this game in it's current state, I don't have the time/drive to keep it going whole-souled and feel like it'll just be a chore for me.

I'm fine with whatever decision you make. I had a blast with this game!
Jun 18, 2020 5:38 pm
To be fair, with out a couple of hours of reading i was a smidge bit lost of where we were but it was a fun time! I liked the concept!
Jun 18, 2020 11:27 pm
Thank you for your support and for playing! I concur the concept was very fun to create, maybe a simpler system would've worked better for me, another time.

I rather enjoyed it, too. Could you tell us where you would have taken the game? What were the upcoming highlights? I need to know what that evil voice in my head was. :P
Jun 18, 2020 11:57 pm
Yeah, I'm curious about the star and Flitter, too.
Jun 20, 2020 12:13 am
Oh boy time to jog my memory...

The voice was Flitter's "dad" (biological relationship left ambiguous.) who was waging a war against the Hobgoblin gang for kidnapping Flitter. Flitter was brought here from Dal Quor forcefully in the gang/warload's quest for power. If they could learn how to harness the "star's" power or Flitter's magic directly LA would be in serious peril. Her dad didn't like that one bit, progressively ramping up their efforts.

I was gonna have a battle or two when everyone was asleep, the environment/enemies would keep shifting to signify everyone was in a crazy domain where the odds are very stacked.

Flitter probably would've grabbed the star very soon, I was hoping to have a situation where they end up grabbing it within the next few scenes (or during the aforementioned dream sequence) to have a VERY exciting (explosive) turn of events.

The star is mechanically both Flitter's arcane focus and a sort of supercharger which let me justify letting them cast very high level spells while otherwise not posing a threat. Probably would have a fight where the goal was to shatter/neutralize the star.

I was toying around how the final battle would take place, or even the outcome. (whether it would be in LA, if the group decided to track down the dream-man, etc.)

Other random ideas I had:

A normal human who became a necromancer and caused a massive undead outbreak at a mall, which was quickly becoming distorted to fit a stereotypical eeeevillll dungeon.

Big ol' capitalist company signed a deal with devils, now they're loose in in the big fancy building.
