OOC:
There's a camera in the tavern, two in hallway 1 & 2, the stockroom, and lab.

The crate you guys brought along is...fairly big. Did you take it with you or leave it in the van? If so it won't be a problem actually, as Tracy would have some lads bring it down.

One last thing: here is some "mood music." sadly not from 2003

Walking through the door leads you to florescent lit hallway made of concrete walls painted pearl white, a few scratches and stains litter the path, it's rather concerning. As you enter you notice a keycard reader to the tavern door, seems it only opens from the inside. The hallways themselves aren't populated, save a single hobgoblin waiting at the end of the hallway by a door marked "Stockroom". The hallway veers off to the left, the large metal doors you observed earlier leading further into the complex. Another keycard reader is present, built directly into the door.

The two 'hobs nod to each other as you are led into what could best be described as not a stockroom, but a workshop. Hobgoblin and goblin alike (mixed with a single human) are cleaning, testing, or taking inventory of their munitions. A goblin is taking inventory counting the number of swords and comparing it to their number of axes, another is cleaning out assault rifles, whistling a merry tune. Overall you count 6 individuals.

Your escort leads you to an empty table at the north end, where he situates himself. You spot empty bags of snacks in a nearby garbage can, a few loose rounds of ammunition, and a folder marked "Shipments" on the desk itself. "We like to take potential partners back here to show em' we are serious. You can call me Jackal. So, what're ya selling?"

"Call me Anthracite. We brought a small selection of what we've got."

Cole pointed for those carrying the crate to put it down somewhere, then he had one of his stronger associates open it.

"Hack and slash, small arms, and specialty tinctures for quiet assassinations and big explosions."

Rodrigo makes mental note of everything he sees. He's ready to back Cole up, whatever happens. If things go sideways and they have to fight their way out of here it could get pretty bad. One thing is certain: he's going to accomplish both his missions - he's not leaving here without that white sword!

PROWL record and catalogs every single piece of munition in the establishment (noting serial numbers if possible). All personnel are also compared against data banks of criminal records, and registry of Los Angeles citizens. Also searching for Charles' son, Alan.

He grabs a blade, running his fingers along the edge. "Sharp enough..." He throws up an empty bag, cutting it in two. Nodding in approval he places it back in, rummaging through the rest of the crate's contents. "Alright you got some decent pieces here, I'll give ya that. Been in the business long? Most first-timers show up with nothing but promises of weapons beyond our wildest dreams and bobby pins. Pathetic." Disdain drips from his voice at the mention of "first-timers".
OOC:
If anyone is feeling wild you can try to use sleight of hand to nab a small object.

@cave would you like the good doctor to look through the camera feed or perhaps some other form of investigation to keep himself engaged? No pressure.

Jericho waits near PROWL. He makes no attempt at subterfuge and lets Cole continue the conversation.
Feb 21, 2019 11:12 pm
Cole smirked.

"We're first timers here, sure, but we make no promises beyond supplying more of what you see here. Interested?"

OOC:
If its connected, he would occasionally glance at it. I'm not to worried till people start dyeing then i fail X\

"Well, that's the thing. We already got all the blades 'n bullets we could need, with more on the way." He clenches his hands in front of his face, an almost sinister expression on his face. "Right now I'm very interested in the beyond. You could call it a...potential avenue which could use some exploration."
Feb 22, 2019 4:54 am
"If you want potions that make you breathe ice storms or dusts that make your invisible enemies appear, sure. We do stuff like that. If there's something beyond that, it'll be one helluva specialty order... but we may be able to provide. Let's talk plainly. What does the Jackal need?"

He opens a desk drawer, pulling out a dream catcher and a hefty tome. "Divination. Magic, items, anything which can help you find that which is hidden away. " Flipping through the pages he turns the book towards you, depicting a crystal orb, inside is a . "You've heard of the feywild yes? I need something which can see through other planes. And yes, I am aware it's a stretch to go from weapons to rare artifacts." You can tell he's given this pitch before.

"Feywild? Lots of green? Yeah, I've heard of it. And I agree, it is a bit of a stretch. We can make the invisible visible and vice versa but I can only promise that I'll have my tinkerers look into it. They love a challenge. So... Some kind of... uh... extradimensional night vision goggles? Or do you want this crystal ball thing in the book built?"

Jackal raises an eyebrow. "I want every last scrap, don't care from where long as it works. You will be compensated gener-"

"Boss!" A goblin with numerous piercings and a clipboard pushes his way past everyone, waving down Jackal who is clenching his fists, glaring at the interruption. "Boss, we got problems." He scans the four of you before continuing, lowering his voice "Private problems..."

Jackal sighs. "Please excuse me." Kneeling down the two have their backs turned as the goblin whispers frantically with expressive body language. Jackal nods slightly every few seconds, scanning the contents of the clipboard.
OOC:
Everyone can roll insight OR investigation to gauge their conversation. A small description of how you specifically utilize the skill/particular details you are looking for would be appropriate.

Jericho studies the body language of the goblinoids, followed by whatever equipment is visible, to see if he can piece together the reason behind the urgent discussion. His eyes glance at the clipboard to see if there are any pointing or other indications that might indicate the subject.

The interruption interested Cole such that he none too casually looked at the animated goblin and Jackal. He wasn't nervous yet, though. His fascination with the turn the conversation had taken was still too high for him to be nervous.
