Boulder will step out of the vehicle as the team stops and opens the door for prowl to get in (since it seems he dont care and/or may be outside) while keeping an eye on the now creature in the ally.

[ +- ] Jericho
It's hard to see whether Flitter is being literal, metaphorical, or something else entirely. Still, you can use deductive reasoning to assume these "bad men" are the same gang you encountered down below.
Trying to piece together Flitter's physiology is a challenge in itself: it's like staring into a black hole, but occasionally you get a small glimpse of a thin white line moving underneath the jacket.

[ +- ] Rodrigo
It's hard to see whether Flitter is being literal, metaphorical, or simply insane. Still, you can use deductive reasoning to understand two things: these "bad men" are the same gang you encountered down below, and the "star" seems to be a rather powerful item.
The cameras don't give you anything particularly interesting, just the members working tirelessly.

"What happened to all that talk about sticking to the mission and not getting sidetracked?" Rodrigo mutters, irritation breaking through his usual stoicism.
Mar 20, 2019 6:59 pm
"Oh you will?! Oh joyous da- AHH!" Somewhere in the street a police siren blares as it speeds away, Flitter jumps in surprise at the sudden noise. Looking around for unseen danger she continues, quieter now. "We need to take my star back yes, it is not theirs to use, only ours."
Mar 20, 2019 7:01 pm
"Maybe we should go somewhere to talk," says Jericho calmly. "Somewhere a little more private." He shows Flitter the van, wondering if the gesture will correctly indicate the invitation to join the party.
Mar 20, 2019 7:05 pm
"We have a mission of our own right now, Flitter," Cole points out. "If you come with us, we can get you help in recovering your star, OK?"

She looks toward the grate one last time. Apparently satisfied she nods vigorously, sprinting into the van. "Ok, we will help you just as you can help us!"
OOC:
Instead of typing out a big ol' post about driving back to HQ let me ask: What's the next step? You can handle it similar to when everyone was last at HQ with a mix of RP and potential research. Keep in mind as you are all in charge of this case no one will hamper your investigation because of Flitter's introduction. Mar 21, 2019 7:41 pm
I wish to xenology on Flitter. Blood samples, etc... all the medical stuff thats non invasive.

"Who stole your star, Flitter?" Cole said in a calm voice.
We take Flitter back to HQ, have it checked out medically and possible psychologically, and research exactly what it is.

"Maybe we should introduce ourselves. Flitter, I am Jericho," he says. "We work for an organization that tries to help individuals like you. Have you heard of us?"

Rodrigo watches the entity known as Flitter while the others pepper it with questions. He doesn't trust anything outside of Lock. But this does present another opportunity to return to Burger & Brew and carry out his mission to retrieve the sword.

It can happen montage style throughout the drive back and subsequent arrival. Also did I mention Flitter is about 4 feet tall? Think I failed to point it out.[ +- ] During the drive (Rodrigo, Cole, and Jericho)
Flitter spends the duration looking out the window, seemingly admiring the city.
"We told you, the bad men! So hairy and ugly too! They laugh at us because we are small, but they are just too large." She shakes her head, looking unhappy.
She tilts her head, hair falling to the side as she thinks. "Hmmm...no. But we are happy to meet you." She nods confidently.
During this exchange Rodrigo doesn't detect any malicious intent from Flitter.

[ +- ] Medical room (Prowl & Spidermoon)
Before you know it the two of you (plus anyone else who decides to join you) and Flitter are situated in one of the vacant medical rooms. It's modeled after a common examination room one could find at any hospital, albeit with much more interesting tech. There are various instruments for X-rays, magic detection, eyesight, and more at your disposal. Flitter patiently sits on the counter, adamantly wanting to keep the coat on throughout the process.
Spidermoon's efforts to comprehend Flitter reveal: They have roughly the same organs as a human or elf, full set of bones, blood, and is positively brimming with magical energy. The exact nature of this energy is a mystery however, as the equipment goes on the fritz whenever you try to get a reading.
Prowl's search comes up empty, trying again and again to match her characteristics with any known creature. The only solid info he obtains: Flitter is definitely not a common race (halfling, kobold, goliath, etc.) in disguise.

Make any additional queries/checks as I probably didn't cover everything. You can use arcana, and history or investigation after you gain some understanding of her magic.Mar 23, 2019 5:49 pm
DURING THE DRIVE
Jericho brings up a photo capture from their video feed, showing the hobgoblin bartender. "Is this what one of the bad men looks like?" he asks Flitter. "And were they in that building we were next to? Do you think that is where your star is?"

"Yes! We wish to 'thrash' them, to see them squirm!" Flitter practically shouts, her eyes squinting in anger at the mention. These feelings of rage pass on as she calms down. "The b...build-ing? We do not know. Walls were all around us, and a... scary room too. Strange magicks, sinister voices! That's where Star is, We can feel it's presence longing for us. It is so dark down there, cramped, like the void itself! But even void cannot contain Us, small cracks and holes to slip through lead us to damp halls. So so noisy, but safe. Bad men do not chase, and we ascend to find you."
[ +- ] Lab
Pouring through your monolithic number of tomes and computer-based search indexes proves just as tricky. Best you can tell is she has ties to denizens of Dal Quor. Which race exactly is beyond you.
Mar 25, 2019 3:56 pm
Flitter's abilities fascinate Rodrigo. The potential for infiltration is nt lost on him. He discusses these possibilities with the team. "If she can slip out undetected, then she and PROWL can slip inside as well and perhaps gain us access unobserved."
