I've created a game called D&D 5e MUD in the Sand Pit with the simple idea of testing out mid- and high-level characters in battle against powerful opponents. Contests can be one-on-one or players may form teams. You can request a fight against a specific type of monster, or the DM might call for test subjects for their own misbegotten creations*.

* Note that while the DM has the ability to customize opponents, players will be restricted to official D&D publications (ie no Unearthed Arcana or homebrew).
