Gu'lorg rubs his chin as he considers his allies' thoughts.

Perhaps. Well, if your friend is still alive, there is no reason to think that whoever captured him would kill him now. Therefore, whether we lunge in headlong towards him, or we gather ourselves and prepare for the oncoming assault, it will most likely not change Gundren's fate.

I lean towards Leylin's suggestion, and we solve the tasks that will get us the resources to be adequately prepared for our upcoming fight.

He stands up, cracks his neck and upper back, and then says, So, to this Conyberry place, then? And perhaps we could gain some additional magical boosts from Bebaral's little journey that he wishes to go to. I say we do those two things.

— And if we're going in that direction... We might ask people of this town if we can do something for them there... Just a thought.

Sildar mirrors the Hobgoblin in rubbing his chin in thought. Considering his logic. Perhaps you are right. If they have kept Gundren alive for now, they may well wish to keep him alive until they can get the information about the Lost Mine from him. Do not delay. There may be larger things at stake as well.

Sildar rolls up and hands the map to Leylin, Here, I can get another from Barthen

— Thank you. I put the map into backpack.

OOC:
Soooo are we off to Conyberry? Old Owl Well? Gundren? Thundertree? or perhaps Disneyland?
Oct 10, 2018 7:34 pm
OOC:
I'm down for disneyland! I couldnt find a good balls of fury "i'm going to disneyland" gif :,(
imo it would make more sense to go to cadberry for their egg potions and hit the stuff on the way back assuming gundren would wanna come to phanhandle

OOC:
How finished is Leylin with that journal he was reading? Considering that he was doing it for about 4 to 6 hours?
Oct 11, 2018 8:09 am
While I stood quiet since we got into Leylin's room, I feel like it is time to ask for some information about the apparently urgent matter. Considering that half of us were not in the group yet a day ago, it sound pretty reasonable to ask for some additional details here.
— Logic would be to go to Gundred first, then Conyberry and finish with the Old Well. But you seem to imply that this first destination requires special preparation in which case Conyberry definitely would be the good choice. Plus, there are some people there that I'd be glad to see again.
I'm sorry, but I might need a quick recap on that Gundred subject. I feel like I'm missing some important details...
OOC:
Gundred: 1 day of travel North, road + woodlands
Conyberry: 2 days of travel North then East, road
Old Owl Well: 3 days of travel, 1 day from Conyberry South, hills and mountains

[ +- ] Sildar already talked about Gundren

Thanks for the reminder Kuroi. Spark is indeed asking for additional details, like the reasons why they were kidnapped in the first place, or what value he could have as an captive. He talked about some Lost Mine, but I don't think I've heard of that before... did I?

Leylin would be pretty close to or done and beginning to reread the book at this point.
Sildar tells Spark the story of how Leylin and he have a shared friend, a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker. Gundren and his two brothers, are miners and have found the lost mine of Phandelver which is said to hold the forge of spells.
[ +- ] Lost mine

Gundren and I left Neverwinter after assembling a small group of people that all knew Gundren. Leylin here was a member of that group, who were tasked with escorting supplies from Neverwinter to Phandalin while Gundren and I rode ahead. He and I were ambushed on the road by goblins and taken to the cave where Gu’lorg was also imprisoned. They moved Gundren to "Cragmaw Castle" before Leylin and the others were able to find and free us. We finished the journey to Phandalin where Redbrands ended up killing one of the original group, Amaris. Two others left town abruptly after another encounter with the Rebrands before Leylin and others went down into the hideout.

— Speaking of that mine... I take out the journal that I was immersed previously. This was written by an adventurer named Urmon. He speaks of the Lost Mine of Phandelver and the Forge of Spells as well. In addition to what Sildar already said, Urmon records that a magic mace named Lightbringer was commissioned by priests of Lathandar, the god of dawn, from the mages working with the gnomes and dwarves of the Phandelver's Pact. The mace was lost when Wave Echo Cave and its mine vanished from history.

You hear Gu’lorg say This is exactly what Bargrivyek had me looking for, though I knew not the history. He showed my mentor in a vision a "font" of magic, which would help me in fighting a great evil against the world at large.

He has not revealed details to me in clarity, but Droop and I must acquire magic and brave companions to prepare for this looming threat.

Goodness! Thats a tale worth looking into! Bebaral says as he joins closer to the group. Hey, speaking of your that nice guy from the bar yesterday. One of your friends here has your green statute. He points to Spark?
OOC:
i think thats who i gave it to XD
Sorry, i'm Bebaral, I've been sent from my teacher to find, learn and ascertain magic's for the study at the college in Neverwinter.

OOC:
Indont remember but we will just roll with it.
Spark produces a statue that looks identical to the one Leylin found in the Goblin Hideout just a few days prior. A quick look through your gear finds that the one that was once in your possession is missing.
Oct 13, 2018 1:06 pm
OOC:
It was just a valueable piece, right? Nothing magical?
I glance at the statue and shrug.

— You can keep it, Spark
OOC:

Ok...where to? Conyberry seems to be popular choice at the moment.

Leylin is ready to go visit banshee :D

I am only indirectly concerned about the three choices that lie before us ; therefore, I will rely on logic to choose one but not argue if someone else have a strong preference. My go right now would be Conyberry.
