Standing there among the others Faebis begins to feel nervous around so many people. The monastery where he grew up didn't have that many people living there, just a few monks and clerics who never congregated in large groups. Looking around he recognized the half-elf and the orc woman among the crowd and somehow feels better for them being there.

As the captain spoke he almost zoned everything out until he heard that there was possibly trouble. As a cleric he felt it was his duty to help and without hesitation he held up his hand, "I'm interested in helping and I'm sure my clerical abilities will be most welcome if there is indeed trouble.

@Krigare: The captain looks towards a woman dressed in the bright red military uniform of the marines. She steps forward, and says We're not entirely sure. We are in the middle of having a town meeting to discuss the threat. You are more than welcome to follow us if you like? The ship won't leave until the next tide.

The sea voyage is a revelation for Ronda. She finds the wide expanse, biting fresh air and sea spray exhilarating.

Ronda also finds that she enjoys the work of a sailor. Every chance she gets she helps out with anything the crew are willing to teach her. The crew, in turn seems glad to have not someone like her among them not just for her strength, but also for her rough-and-tumble, take-no-shit personality.

Ronda is less interested in the other passengers, except for two: a half-elf named Krigare, and one who calls himself Phaebis. In the presence of either of them her bracers - which she has taken to concealing under a pair of long leather gauntlets - grow warm against her skin. What's more, Phaebis bears some resemblance to the angelic beings in her vision, except that it's difficult for her to imagine such majestic entities ever sneezing.

On arriving at the trading post, Ronda has made up her mind to ask the captain if, rather than disembarking, she can stay on and join the ship's crew. However, before she can broach the subject, the captain assembles everyone on deck. As he speaks of trouble and mercenaries she knows it's not for her. All her life, she's been fighting, and now she's found something else she's good at and makes her happy. And yet, that urge again...the same pull that she felt before, that led her out of the city, led her to the bracers, led her north...now they're leading her to this. Before she knows it, Ronda has stepped forward. "I'll go." she says. She hasn't even registered that anyone else has spoken. She shoulders her pack and blows a wayward strand of multi-colored hair out of her eyes. She pats a meaty hand reassuringly on the pouch where Rousey is nestled. "I'll go."

Faebis will disembark the ship and follow after the woman in the red marine uniform and anyone else that goes. To anyone who goes with him, So, what made you all come along? I feel as my services maybe needed if there is trouble but made you decide to come along. It's not like anyone would take a job with an unknown danger.

With that the woman disembarks from the ship and walks you through the small town. You see several small buildings made if a curious black Berda wood. She points to the largest building, a two story log building.
That's the Western Trading Company Office. That's where the other marines and I are stationed. We'll pay for your food and lodgings at the inn here however. She guides you to a largish building with a large red X for a sign. Below you see the words The Hunter's Mark.
OOC:
That's it for the prologue everyone. Now its time for the real deal. Please join us in the Chapter 3 thread!
