OOC:
Not sure if it will help anybody but elves do not need to make the dc check for ghouls as they are immune.

Since I am still learning the 5th ed rules, it used to be if you had to make multiple condition checks for the same thing such as the ghoul stun you only had to pass1 which had the highest DC but I could be wrong on this. I remember reading it somewhere but I don't klnow if it was a forum or in a rulebook.

None of the party are full elves. If you can find a reference to the multiple condition check rule, it might be important.

I thought felicia was an elf as is Sassy as I would not had to make it as well. It doesn't matter if you have chosen a subrace. The only one that wouldn't count would be a half-elf as tehy are not fully an elf.

OOC:
You're right that Sassy shouldn't have needed to make it. So if you revive, you won't be paralyzed. Felicia is a half-elf.

OOC:
Ok I have been reading up and it looks like there have been changes. Ghouls bite used to be what causes the paralysis but had 3 attacks. In 5th it was changed to claws but then it lists claws as one attack not two. It doesn't say claw/claw/bite as attack as it used to in other editions but bite and claws (which seem that know makes it one single attack using its claws as it reads weapon melee attack not attacks) at least in my reading of it.

I'll review. The wording is confusing. Might need to refer to the MM for action economy rules.

OOC:
Okay, you are totally right, and thank you for checking. In fact, because the ghoul doesn't have the Multiattack ability, it can choose either a Bite action, or a Claws action, but not both.

I'll retcon the attacks, taking the first ones rolled and ignoring the additional attacks
Retconning the ghouls attack round

Felicia takes 10 damage from a Bite. No Con save required.
Yillia takes 10 damage from a Bite. No Con save required.
Sassy takes 14 damage from a Bite. No Con save required.
Xella takes 11 damage from a Bite. No Con save required takes no damage.

OOC:
Ok thanks for checking and verifying the rules. This helps me if I ever run a 5th ed game myself. I was thinking for a non-boss fight ghouls just seemed way to powerful for our level but I wasn't sure why it was so(though I have seen published adventures put in way to powerful encounters before so if i was wrong I would not have been surprised) as I was sure we were heading for a TPK.

I hate to ask but I am now confused to where we are in combat since Sassy is back on her feet for now.

Also is anyone about to drop worse than me as I have one cure wounds spell if needed.

Yillia and Araaz have acted.

Sassy, Xella, and Felicia are up.

As to wounds, Xella is hurt pretty bad, including wounds from the reaver battle, and Felicia is hurt as bad as Sassy.

I think everyone is as follows:
Yillia: 10/28 HP
Felicia: 8/21
Xella: 18/34
Sassy: 8/21
May 12, 2019 4:41 pm
Sassy cast cure wounds on Felicia if she can touch her or herself if she cannot get to her without causing an attack of opportunity.

Rolls

cure wounds - (1D8+6)

(7) + 6 = 13

May 12, 2019 4:45 pm
Sassy's spell gods off successfully, healing Felicia for 11 points.
OOC:
I believe that should be +4 instead of +6, unless you have an ability that modifies the Spell?
Yillia: 10/28 HP
Felicia: 19/21
Xella: 18/34
Sassy: 8/21

OOC:
No you are right I looked at save instead of attribute modifier, I will figure this out yet.

Xella and Felicia are up. I'll poke them.
May 15, 2019 2:54 am
Felicia cringes as the attack slices into her arm. Xestras flies in the creature's face, harrying it.

Xestras taking the Help action to grant advantage on the next attack against the creature. Felicia casting eldritch blast at the creature next to her. Adv from help, D/A from casting next to an enemy, cancels out for normal attack.
8/21 HP | 13 AC | Darkvision 60’

[ +- ] Xestras - Quasit - AC 13 | 7/7 HP | Scare 0/1

1d20+6 : (15) + 6 = 21

1d10+4 : (3) + 4 = 7

May 15, 2019 3:00 am
Felicia strikes the ghoul, her eldritch power chewing away at it.

Ghoul 1: dead
Ghoul 2: -17hp
Ghoul 3-6: -

OOC:
Acting for Moofsalot
Xella raises her voice and incants in the name if her good a prayer against the faithless.
OOC:
I.e., turn undead
Ghouls 2, 5, 6 flee back into the water, heading upstream.

Ghoul 1: dead
Ghoul 2: -17hp (turned)
Ghoul 3,4: -
Ghoul 5,6: - (turned)

The remaining two continue to fight.

Yillia is clawed (8 damage) and must make a Con saving throw.

Sassy is attacked, and despite Xella using her reaction to provide Disadvantage, it strikes Sassy for 8.

All of you are up

Rolls

Wisdom saves - (5d20)

(41714102) = 47

Ghoul 3 claw v Yillia - (1d20+4, 2d4+2)

1d20+4 : (10) + 4 = 14

2d4+2 : (42) + 2 = 8

Ghoul 4 bite v Sassy - (1d20+4, 2d6+2)

1d20+4 : (12) + 4 = 16

2d6+2 : (42) + 2 = 8

Disadvantage one attack on Sassy - (1d20+4)

(18) + 4 = 22

May 16, 2019 1:11 pm
Further to the last, the fleeing Ghouls cannot take the Disengage action so they provoke attacks of opportunity from those with a melee weapon in hand.

But the turn undead effect will end if they take damage. Your call.
May 16, 2019 2:12 pm
Arrgghh! Yillia clutches at the claw wounds in her torso.

2/28 HP

Rolls

Con Save - (1d20+2)

(19) + 2 = 21

May 16, 2019 2:14 pm
I lay dying on the ground.
OOC:
round 2 of this hopefully our healer gets to her fast

Rolls

death save - (1d20)

(15) = 15

May 16, 2019 2:21 pm
Yillia waves her free hand and a gust of wind floods into the chamber. It creates a brief window for her to step back as it buffets the ghouls.
She slashes through the wind at the ghouls and backs up the steps as far as she can (60ft with Zephyr Strike)

"I... Hate.. Whatever.. These.. Are.." She pants. From this point, she looks around for help.

Casting Zephyr Strike. Spell Slots 0/3 - All Used Now
OOC:
Roll order got messed up a bit somehow
