This will be a one-shot adventure with first level characters. There will be no leveling and once we’re done, we’re done. As stated in my original post I’m a relative newbie when in comes to GMing and this whole experience may very well suck, but I’d like to give it a try and see how it works via PbP.

I will try posting at least once per day. If you’re character is holding up play I’ll wait 48 hours before making a hilariously awesome decision for them that you’ll have to live with. Of course, we’ve all got real life to deal with, so if you’re going to be gone for a while, just let the rest of us know and we’ll work something out.

Thanks for playing!

You’ve been traveling south along the Fairgrave Trail for weeks looking for work with little luck. Your last attempt in Deerhaven ended in disaster as you and your friends were run out of the small town after a slight misunderstanding with the town guard. Hoping for better luck further south (and to put a little distance between yourselves and Deerhaven) you’ve traveled through the night and late the next morning approach what appears to be a small farming village.

To the north of the trail lies several buildings, most inviting of which is a tavern called “The Broken Spoon”. Famished from the hasty retreat from the night before you pool the last of your coins together and decide to have yourselves a meal before continuing on. Welcome to White Oak.

Creation using 27 point buy or 4d6 per attribute - your choice. If you roll 4d6 please do so in the ‘Character Creation’ forum so the rest of us can either congratulate you on your awesome rolls or make fun of your rotten luck. (We can talk re-rolls if you end up with three or more attributes with negative modifiers).

Standard starting equipment with the exception of coinage. You’ll have just enough to get a meal at “The Broken Spoon” and then you’ll be broke!

I only have PHB as far as classes, races, and backgrounds go, so if you want to use something else and can point me to a PDF or something I’m good with it.
