Tapani Sector
"The bacta must flow."
The lifeblood of the Empire lies in its raw materials, fuel for its fleet, and above all: bacta. The Rimma Trade Route, or the Rimma Run as it is affectionately known to traders, is the major route between production facilities of Thyferra to the Core Worlds. A detour was forged cutting several days off of the major route, the path leading along side a massive nebula called Shindra's Veil. Within this section of space lies the Tapani Sector, a collection of worlds governed by seven vastly wealthy great houses making up The Expanse, and several free worlds. Each of these seven houses is ruled by a single High Lord or High Lady, and each has much to gain or loose by the Empire?s tenuous foothold in the sector?s Freeworlds as well as the ever-present Mining Guild. Currently, the battle within the houses is to maintain their sizeable control over the shipping lanes.
The Tapani Sector is ripe with intrigue, politics, espionage, and credits. Rich mining operations, bustling trade routes, secret shadowports, Imperial Shipyards, elite universities, and a diverse population provide the backdrop for this campaign. Presently, the Imperial presence is limited to a few notable allies and their sector patrols ensuring the flow of bacta and protecting the trade against bacta pirates. What will happen when the delicate balance of power shifts, and a long-standing respite is broken?
Will the players be nobles being tossed around political chess boards, smugglers trying to tip the balance of the trade, or saboteurs risking everything for one mission? Will the players sympathize with rebels in search of bases of operation where they can defy the Empire? Will they be Mining Guild members trying to maintain control in a sector crucial to the Rimma Run? Will the players be scouts trying to make a name for themselves by cracking the secrets of navigating the nebula and securing political power for a great house or themselves? Will the players be swept up in political intrigue or be players in its machinations?

This game will follow the Fate Accelerated rule set. The fast-paced, action-oriented, and storytelling-focused mechanic is very fitting for the Star Wars Universe and its cinematic moments. Please see the forum for character creation guidelines, as there are specific factions allowed. No Empire or Dark Side characters for instance. Thank you!
