A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
The GALACTIC EMPIRE is gone, its descent beginning with the loss of the Death Star and the Emperor. Its remnants have slunk into the shadows on the edge of the galaxy. A NEW REPUBLIC has arisen, bringing peace to the galaxy.
But in the darkness of the Unknown Regions, a new threat emerges. The FIRST ORDER, heir to the Empire's evil, plans to destroy the New Republic and return the galaxy to their rule. Only the RESISTANCE, led by General Leia Organa, stands in their way. Even so, nobody yet knows the true strength of the First Order.
Meanwhile, on the remote world of Jakku, a group of scavengers and desert nomads have discovered the existence of a valuable secret, one that has been lost for thirty years...

This game is run using Star Wars World, which is a PBTA hack. As such, character generation is just a matter of selecting a playbook, with the following restrictions:
* You can start the game with Force training, but not Jedi/Sith training. This does not mean that you can't eventually be a Jedi/Sith, but that will have to happen in the game. In light of this, the following playbooks are not allowed for starting characters: the Consular, the Guardian, and the Sentinel.
* You can't be officially affiliated with any of the vital organizations, such as the New Republic, the Resistance, and the First Order. You might be aware of them or even have acquaintances that work there, but you can't be a member of those organizations.
* We need characters with heroics in their hearts. You need to have some motivation to fight to maintain peace in the galaxy. That doesn't mean you can't change motivations later in the game, but you have to start motivated.
