The Rube Goldberg Rally [ EDIT ]
This game has been retired! That means it's no longer being run.
It's the 25th Anniversary of the famous Rube Goldberg Rally and that means that only the best teams in the sword coast are getting into the competition this year, you represent the locals of Hardbuckler.
Your part of a Gnomish Racing Team, one of the best, that why you've been selected to participate in the Rube Goldberg Rally named after one of the foremost experts in "propulsion which doesn't require the use of ones legs or that of an animal"

The race takes you Southeast around the reaching woods down towards Berdusk and then back up around on the other side of the woods to return to Hardbuckler first, the race itself takes about a week at least of you want to have any chance of winning.
The rules are technically quite simple,
1. All mechanisations created for use in the race must only have potential to harm the Operator or the Technician
2. The operator must not at any point during the race make use of their legs as doing so results in disqualification regardless of the purpose.
3. Those not participating as operators cannot directly intervene in any way affecting the outcome of the race while operators are using their craft.
4. In the event of a situation arising where there seems to be greater conflict in regards to the legality of the events which transpire during the rally such as but not limited to the operator sleeping while operating one of their devices see the expanded rules document which should outline every possible situation that may occur as well as the legality of such actions.
On top of all that and the risk of death and such that comes with racing, even if you aren't the operator there is a rumor floating around that someone intendeds to sabotage the race perhaps so they can win or maybe for other reasons, some teams have pulled out not wanting to compete if they might be killed but many more like your team have chosen to compete anyways, can you find out what's going on while every minute your racers life may be in more danger than ever before?

Now I have a few requirements when looking for players but mostly I want someone who wants the same type of game I do.
This game for me is less about fighting than protecting, it's a game that will have lots of Interaction with Various NPC's I can only keep track of so many but each team, announcers, ect there's going to be a lot of other characters that I hope to be able to give strong/memorable personalities.
As a Game Master I like organization but if I don't expect I'll have the perfect battlemap, if you want a chandelier to swing on (assuming we're inside and I haven't said otherwise) there might as well be a chandelier. Storytelling is a collaborative effort and if something adds to the story I'm more likely to say yes than not.
I'm looking for people who when they build a character they focus on the character of the person rather than the abilities of their character.
If you're new to Gamersplane or don't currently have a game your playing in and you're interested in shoot an application I don't care how long you've been on GP our play styles matching is far more important than your experience with GP or D&D.
As a rule for games I create I require joining a discord channel with game notifications this is partly because it allows us to know when we need to check the site but also because it allows for far faster communication. (If you're brand new to the site and aren't sure you want to join a discord with a bunch of strangers I still encourage you to apply)
We will be starting at 3rd level and moving to approximately 6th level by the end of the game. I'm expecting both a quick rate of play probably around 10 posts a week from myself minimum meaning probably around 8 for each player. I'm looking to have started and finished the game in about 3-4 months.
Otherwise obviously I expect a party of gnomes for this game.
