Welcome to The Borough! All the modern convention and convenience of modern city life, Quaint, friendly neighborhoods. Shopping, dining, parks, schools, offices. The perfect place!
Except, you're not supposed to be here. You had a different life. You are a hero, or were a hero in the place you came from. Here you seemed to be living a quiet "normal" life, until you woke up from that dream and the memories of your real life came flooding back.
In The Borough, everyone gets along. Everything is peaceful. Mutants, humans, inhumans, atlantean, all living side-by-side. Some of the faces you recognize. Some of the names are familiar but you never met them without a mask. Other heroes and villains living right next door to each other like they haven't been knocking each other's teeth out for years.
And it seems you're not the only one who has woken up to this fact. You thought you knew them, but each of them is slightly different. From another world. Can a group of variant heroes from across the multiverse band together and figure out what is going on?

I would like some of the PCs to be known Marvel names, but no one is the 616 version of their character. You could be Captain Britain Peggy Carter. Or T'Challa the Starlord. Or even a cgaracter who is normally a villian, Victor Von Doom who forgave Reed Richards and joined the Fantastic Four instead of Johnny Storm. You could even play a DC or Amalgam series character since technically the multi-verse is infinite.
If you really want to play a character completely your own design, you can do that too, but I'd like you to tie them to an existing character.
Additionally please choose Earth based characters. Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock, and Drax don't have enough connections to work with, in my opinion. If in doubt just ask, but if I feel a character is too "cosmic" I will veto it.
The idea is you will encounter foes your 616 version is tied too in the comics.
Pre-generated characters are fine, but you need to make them a variant somehow. If you want to roll a random generated character in the game thread, that's fine too. But you may also just choose stats for your as described in the book, with the caveat that I might ask you to adjust rankings to keep things balanced. (NOTHING OVER MONSTEROUS.)
