Planescape Mega campaign [ EDIT ]
This game has been retired! That means it's no longer being run.
In the Planes, everything and I mean everything happens in threes. There's even a rule about it- the Rule of Threes. So is it any wonder that when there's trouble in the multiverse- true multiversal trouble it comes in threes as well?
First there's some mysterious Doors opening in Sigil- Four of them to be precise and an even more mysterious threat behind them.
Then there's a strange infection spreading throughout the multiverse- connected somehow to a little known method of planar travel known as the Infinite Staircase.
Finally, on Mechanism something strange has happened - the Great Modron March has started! That on its own isn't anything too unusual, but it's started five hundred years early, which for the ultra lawful Modrons can only spell some kind of trouble.
What exactly is this campaign: this will be a massive planescape campaign adapting as many as possible of the published modules to 5th Edition, built around the three large modules.
An incomplete list of the modules that will be included.
Core/Backbone Modules
Doors to the Unknown
The Great Modron March
Tales from the Infinite Staircase
Major Modules
The Eternal Boundary
Something Wild
Harbinger House
The Deva Spark
In the Abyss
Well of Worlds
Dead Gods
Capstones
Hellbound: the Blood War: War Games
Die Vecna, Die!
Faction War
Ancillary Modules that May Appear
The Vortex of Madness and Other Planar Perils
Tales of the Outer Plains
For Duty and Deity
Adventures from the Planes of Law/Chaos/Conflict boxed sets
Other Campaign setting modules
How Will this work? the initial kick off will be a scenario where all players are present in the vicinity of the Shattered Temple at the same time. From there, groups will filter off into investigating different leads that will take them down different paths dealing with the three core modules and other mysteries and adventures throughout the planes.
Who Can Join? Anyone- and I mean anyone. I might end up capping the group at some high number, but 18 players fits very easily into the framework and I could accommodate more if there were interest.
But wait, does that mean if I join I won't be doing (said module)? yes, that does mean that whole some players are investigating the Great Modron March, others will be walking the Infinite Staircase, etc. Not everyone will do every adventure, I promise all the paths will be epic and rewarding.

Character Creation Guidelines
You can play as a planar, as a prime, or as a plane-touched. All primes should begin the game as clueless, meaning you have been on the planes for a very brief time and are not in on the cant or the awareness of planar characters. You cannot play as a petitioner except the bizarre edge case of the Rogue Modrons.
Again- anything published is acceptable, but if it's in a campaign world book you need to be from the matching world and thus a prime to take the option (ie no planar Red Wizards of Thay or Harper's Agents- you can use that stuff and be those characters you just have to be from Faerun to do so.)
Third party content will be on a by approval basis.
planars can begin in the Faction of their choice or select Sects. There is a thread for each Faction and Sect available in the subforum which also covers mechanical aspects of the Factions.

But skip all of the icons and just read the stuff at the bottom.
Everyone will have 3 relationship points and will need at least one positive and st least one negative relationship.
Instead of Icons, you will be selecting relationships with Factions, Sects, Gods, or powerful planar entities (lords of Baator, demon lords, solars or astral devas).
Of court the plains are infinite so your options are likewise only limited by your imagination. We will use this as our Planescape races and Factions benefits baseline:

And there WILL be an equivalent alternate chart for Aasimar like the one presented here for Tiefling.
Finally And Most Importantly you will need to establish why you are in the area of the Shattered Temple on the day of the campaign start.

[ +- ] Races
b]Races:[/b] you can play as any published 5th edition race as a prime from the prime material world that the book it's from corresponds to, including third party with permission.
As a Planar you can play as a core race as defined in Planescape (human, elf, half-elf, gnome, halfling, and dwarf) or a planar race (githerezai, githyanki, bauriaur, tiefing, genesis, and rogue modron).
This is specifically excluding races more recently added like Dragonborn from being planars- if you want to play these races you will have to be a prime from a world appropriate for them. This is to maintain the flavor of the original campaign setting.

keep in mind if you choose to invest relationship points with your own faction this represents a connection other than the usual benefits and obligations of faction membership. From EnWorld
