Kobold Characters
The chosen scions of the Dragons of the Draconic Empire in the long forgotten second age, Kobolds are a proud race, though their territory and prestige have been greatly reduced over the long centuries since then. Their fate is tied to that of their draconic masters—after the Final Flight they retreated to the depths of the darkness, to the mountains, to the swamps, and to the furthest reaches of the burned lands. Only in the Dread of the Dragon in the Old Empire region did they maintain a semblance of their old power. The blood of the dragons still runs deep and strong in their veins, however, and they are excellent sorcerers (favoring the draconic bloodline). Many Kobolds feature scales that match their variety of dragon which lies strongest in their ancestry.
+2 Charisma, +2 Dexterity,–2 Strength: Kobolds are fast and adept but weak.
Reptilian: Kobolds are humanoids with the reptilian subtype.
Small: Kobolds are Small and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their CMB and CMD, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
Normal Speed: Kobolds have a base speed of 30 feet.
Darkvision: Kobolds can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Armor: Kobolds have a +1 natural armor bonus.
Crafty: Kobolds gain a +2 racial bonus on Craft (trapmaking), Perception, and Profession (miner) checks. Craft (trapmaking) and Stealth are always class skills for a kobold.
Draconic Traits: Kobolds gain energy resistance 5 and a spell like ability determined by their ancestry Dragon color. These spell like abilities are used 3/day if they are zero level spells or 1/day if they are first or higher. The saving throws if applicable are based on Charisma (and the Kobold must have 11 or higher Charisma to use these abilities.)

Though rarer than half-elves and even half-orcs, human-halfling marriages and relationships do occur and occasionally produce children.

• Humanoid—Quarterlings are humanoid type with the human and Halfling subtypes
• Medium: Half elves are medium size, gaining no bonuses or penalties.
• Base land speed: 30 ft.
• +1 bonus on all saving throws and an additional +2 on saves vs fear
• +2 racial bonus on Perception, Acrobatics, and Climb
