Strahd 2024 [ EDIT ]
This game has been retired! That means it's no longer being run.
Curse of Strahd is an overhyped module. I love that module but not going to advertise it. Instead I will try to convince you this adventure designed to take players through traditional horror tropes like vampires, werewolves, and witches may not actually suite your RPG gaming desires and fulfill expectations.
Settings are very dark and depressing. It’s exciting at first, but it will eventually start to wear on players. Please read and acknowledge following before applying to the game:
- It is not guaranteed that all combat encounters is fair (balanced). In some cases you might need to do something unspeakable to survive. And it is better to avoid some combat
- Your character might be killed. More over, character death may not be worst thing that could happen to your character
- This campaign is not about heroes achieving one victory after another. This game is not for you if you don't like to feel your PCs are always incapable to achieve something (not just win combats)?
- This campaign is primarily driven by NPC stories and their relationships to the party. Be prepared to form meaningful relationships with the NPCs you encounter, and allow yourself to emotionally invest in those characters' success.

Character creation and advancement based on 5e free rules 2024.
That means you only got to have spells from free rules and upon reaching 4 and 8 lvl you only have access to feats from free rules.
Exceptions
- A custom additional background will be available in game
- You may not be able to pick a background but have to create character based on background given to you my DM
When creating PC you are strongly recommended to follow these guidelines:
- No impulsive characters, no aggressive, no characters that prefer brute force solutions to problems
- Your character must be motivated and ready retreat if situation requires (I speak to you barbarians and paladins - no matter how motivated you are to eliminate your foe you must never jeopardize whole party survival) or even better - try to avoid conflict whatsoever
- Your character has no knowledge/experience of Strahd or land where the game takes place. Let's assume PC is from Sword Coast (Baldur's gates, Neverwinter or alike).
